death to Islamic fundamentalists a good followup
death to Victorian footy umpires would fit as well

Why not turn it into a reality show - Umpies vs Numpties. Tell the Umpies that they can keep the nuts of any numpties they slay, and the numpties that they'll get all the virgins they want in the afterlife.

While we're at it, we should also reform out electoral system too. Instead of running a preferential voting system, which is open to abuse, a fairer way would be to play blood-footy where both parties field an AFL team. What is blood footy, you ask? Similar to normal footy, except with the stadium loaded with Collingwood fans and no crowd barriers. Last pollie standing is PM.

I'm opposed because the justice system for a number of reasons mostly because there has to be a better way to deal with the problems society faces, but also because the justice system isn't trustworthy enough to get it right and you can't undo it.

I'm opposed to the death penalty on many grounds including the murder of innocent people who are found guilty via an imperfect justice system.

As far as I understand, the Greens are still opposed to the death penalty.

But the Greens support abortion which is just the slaughter of innocents?

I actually detest thieves and theft, generally. Just don't detest them as much as the others. And in some cases, it's even understandable, or, if not forgivable, can be ignored.

What about those crooks you see on TV all the time
who rob old people of their life savings & then you see
them on a speed boat flying around Sydney harbor?

Locking them up for 'the term of their natural', is a far better punishment for that sort of personality. After selling everything they own and returning the money to the victims, of course.

A lot of theft is through desperation, stupidity or peer pressure, none of which is, imo, serious enough for capital punishment. Don't see any reason to execute a little kid for nicking a chuppa-chup, because he friend's dared him to, or a person who faced the choice between stealing and starving (or watching his kids starve).

And I know you are heading towards some 'moral high ground' statement about killing anyone being wrong, but that doesn't bother me, or really work that well.

Then they'd use the same loopholes to avoid the death penalty too, wouldn't they?
The trick is to bring in laws that close the loopholes.
