Still - no one can find out how many parcels go missing.
My last parcel has been missing for weeks now.
I was kind of hoping it would turn up - but it hasn't.
I sold on ebay for a while and in over 1000 parcels, never had one go missing, although one did take 4 weeks to travel across only a few suburbs!
If you have an important parcel, it should be posted to you with tracking and where you have to sign on receipt. It costs more to post that way-quite a bit more in some cases-but if a parcel is important, it is the best way.
As for ebay parcels going missing, you can claim on paypal.
Most sellers should be posting with trackable post because it is a well known fact that some of the more unscrupulous buyers are making a practice of lying and saying their parcel has not arrived and without proof, paypal will always find in their favour.
I am sure the occasional parcel or letter does go missing but I don't think it is that common. I think a more common occurrence is for mail to be a bit slow.
