I am a Libertarian (at least for the moment), but I don't agree with LDP's policies on firearms: the possession of firearms for self-defence.
I don't think that's an adequate reason.
"an adequate reason" ???
Is there
"an adequate reason" for anyone to act to defend themselves [or, persons they love] ?
e.g.
If we are threatened with violence or death, by a home invader at night ?
Why ?
Couldn't we harm someone, if we acted upon such a belief ?
Is that what you are worried about ?
Are you worried, that either 1/ ourselves, or, 2/ a violent criminal, may be harmed ?
????
augcaesarustus,
If someone has invaded our home at night and threatened us with violence, hasn't a degree of violence
already occurred ?
It is your firm belief, that in that situation, that a homeowner has no right to have access, to any means, to neutralise that violence and the threat of further violence ?
If that is your position, then why do our state governments give
Glock pistols to our police ?
They [a police officer] may shoot someone!!!
