Well, you keep watching sweaty men in tights shorts if that's what makes you happy.

The ladies who play lingerie football get my vote.

As one of them said "...They are all confidant, they are all competitive, they are all athletes, they are here to play a game......."

They get out there, play a game and love it.

Good on you ladies.

Yes bobby, you keep telling yourself that.

You keep watching men in tight shorts, and I'll keep watching this:

I find gregs posting offensive.

Women sports is good.
Any sports is good.

Look at this tackle

the women who play gridiron are just as serious about their game.

I think they should change their uniform.
I hope they continue to do what they love .

A mod of a 'sports' chatroom would be expected to promote the benefits of sports.

Not bad Bogarde.

Soccer
is a great game, but it is sadly let down by its 'scoring'.
There needs to be a 2 point advantage for anything scored outside of the 'Box'. This would really speed this game up and I get this inspiration from watching Hurling and AFL where that 'extra points' scoring shot throws a real spanner in the works of 'point for point' boredom.
...nice to see the South American 'Ego' broken in the World Cup, which is what they have mostly been playing on. Almost 5 decades of watching South American sides playing like David Campese.  Wink Totally erratic and ego-centric via un-predictability ...even unto themselves.  Grin

Cricket
: Really good game and will always better the likes of Baseball, no matter how much USA tries to make out otherwise.
Test
: Very bias to the abilities of the Bowlers and 'too long' a game.
One-Dayer
: the better 'type' of Cricket - but they need to have a 'Bowling & Batting' side for each team. We see Bowlers bat, but not batters bowl. Huh It just doesn't make sense seeing Bowlers bowl to other bowlers ...but this stems from the 'Pro-Bowler' Test style of Cricket.  Tongue
20/20 (Super 8's):
too short a game where the advantage is towards the Batsmen who no longer have to worry about the importance of losing their wickets - as long as they belt as many runs as possible!!!
Cricket is our official STATE code and has withstood the State of Origins that fizzed out via NRL (x2 states) and AFL (x3 states).
...there you go Goldilocks Wink Grin

NRL
= National REDNECK League.
This is the code, where more people pack into the Leagues Club Entertainment venues - than attend the games themselves.
Only at Test Level has NRL achieved any true popularity and importance. Even Melbournians stayed up to watch the Kangaroo tours of Great Britain. Alas, NRL suffers jealousy and aims to outdo AFL at its own 'arena' of 'Club Level' Football where the GF is more important than a Test.
A Code that is basic in that the opposition are always directly in front of you and 'tackling' is the name of the game. Due to its inconsistent 'jealousy' of AFL, its 'Rules' have become incredibly vague and stupid. Even with more Refs and Video - things still just ain't going right. I'm originally from Sydney - but NRL has got to be the worst code of Football ANYWHERE in the world  Tongue
Has anyone notice the French Roosters take control of Sydney lately?

AFL
(Gay Football League): Australia's premier 'Club Level' sport where their Entertainment venues are empty but their grounds are packed. Record 120,000+ is still world record I think? Good game of ultimate fitness with a lot of 'running' where the opposition come from any direction and one needs better 'periphereal' vision than a basketballer. A Code of Football, that Polynesians are yet to crack with any great success. Israel Falou preferred to look great going 'back' to Union. AFL looked a bit stupid competing with NRL at the Test arena with its Hybrid-Test matches against Ireland.

ARU
(Yankee Unionism): Did wonders at International - but via Amateur. Since going 'Professional' - things are starting to break down into groups and getting 'clicky' smaller. From the Five Nations of the north and the Tri Nations of the South (give or take Argentina/Pac Islands joining???) ...it won't be long before the Super 16 Rugby also breaks down into an Australian only competition where SA & NZ players come to play for the various 'Provincials'.
A good game of many facets of plays that can incorporate any 'body type' that is suited to NRL, AFL, Soccer & Cricket ...but mostly a 'Forwards' game via Rucks/Mauls/Scrums than any other.

All codes can be a waste of a person's time ...I have got to the point that I don't care who really wins - as long as it is a good game that doesn't waste 80 mins of my life.
Alas - this has evolved, because Australian Sport has become exactly this: BORING !!!!  Roll Eyes Tongue

AFL for sure but I can watch the Rugby finals once a decade if I have to... I usually watch the union stuff if it happens to be on for some reason but League is a bit brutal at times.

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *
