Well done.

My husband and I are going to restore (?) a chainsaw engine. He bought me a tiny little model airplane engine too so that I could learn the parts but I think it's too small.

He also got a little tiny light bulb and a switch with other stuff to teach me about electricity because I'm scared to use the multimeter. I will take pics when we start the chainsaw (we don't even have one yet) and we can compare projects.

what are you talking about woman.. get back to the kitchen...

and why on earth are you doing these projects?

you're not a "doomsday" prepper are you?

Chainsaws and line-trimmers are good to learn with because there isn't a lot to them (not complicated). A little
diesel or glow-plug model aero engine is essentially the same, but MUCH smaller, as you say.

That's a good way to learn about electricity without running the risk of zapping yourself (well, you might, but it
won't be dangerous if not on mains power - use batteries
).

Look forward to seeing the results of your project...  Smiley

Good stuff, Kat.

I'm not allowed anywhere near the Cooper, but hope to take on one of the diesels....One of these years.
Think the lad is waiting for me to shuffle-off so he can play with them himself.

Another night, another exam, another decent pass.

One more night (Wednesday) and one more exam (Pumps - theory) to go.

Graduation Day is in early December, but I've definitely passed, and with
quite good results, according to my instructor.

Here's a sample of tonight's effort, and the marked answer-sheet for the
Environment & Sustainability theory test from last week, for the few who
may be interested...

Interestingly, but perhaps not surprisingly, we have, at the end of the
course, less than half of those who originally started back in May.

Equally interestingly, a couple of those who've 'stuck it' are ones I would
have picked to drop out, but they didn't and they've done quite well. One
has even been pushing me in a couple of subjects.  Tongue Huh
