'Double Jeopardy' with Tommy Lee Jones

I saw 'Double Jeopardy' with Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd ~ and thought it was pretty good.

I then started Googling to try to find out the name of the Cajune music in the New Orleans bar, and came across the critics site called 'Rotten Apples'.

Whoa! Don't they give the movie a drubbing! They trashed it. I must try to raise my standards a little. I thought the movie had a lot of good elements to it.

I'm generally a fan of Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones. I got the dvd for the movie about a fortnight ago, and have been meaning to watch it. But I have so many other dvds to watch before I start on Double Jeopardy.

I thought Ashley Judd was badly miscast in this movie. She didn't have the right look. Too childlike, soft and girly ~ not enough 'authority' to her.

Jodie Foster would have been perfect.

Judd was perfect for the role. You would have to look towards the actresses of today to find a more suitable for that character. Perhaps a 30 year old Jessica Beil/Jennifer Carpenter would have been better to play that role, had she been old enough at the time.
