Yes, very unlikely.

I'd be asking someone a little closer to home.

To be honest id say it was a family member with my number one pick being the father. ..

He reminded me of that woman that topped her own daughter recently who came out in front of the camera's with the crocodile tears. ..

There, someone had to say it...

Bathurst baby death: Man charged with 11-month-old girl's murder
Updated Thu 10 Apr 2014, 2:44pm AEST

MAP: Bathurst 2795
A man has been charged with the murder of a baby girl near Bathurst in the New South Wales central west.

The 11-month-old girl was taken to Blayney Hospital last week with head injuries.

Doctors performed CPR on the child but she died a short time later.

Police allege a 35-year-old man claimed she had fallen off a trampoline at her family home in Mandurama.

A police strike force was formed to investigate the death.

Officers arrested the 35-year-old man outside Bathurst Police Station after receiving post-mortem results.

He faced court today but did not apply for bail.

He has been remanded in custody to reappear in court on Monday

I thought the posting of photographs by the mother throughout the town was a bit strange. It's Childers - everyone will know what the child looks like by now. Still, perhaps she felt the need to be doing something - anything.

Unfortunately, I think you are right.

I hope more than anything in the world that we're wrong, and that she's hiding in a cubby house somewhere, however, I suspect a family member will be taken in for questioning very soon.  Most likely the father.

No winners in this one.

I've been listening to all the radio reports during the day.  Unless they are being sloppy in their choice of language and there is a third 'parent,'  all reports say the child was in the home of her 'parents.'

Statistically, unless it's her step father (is he?) it's unlikely to be him.  Where peoples biological children are concerned, it's far more likely to be the mother.

But if it is an abductor, those parents must be feeling absoklutely terrible - not only becasue their little girl is missing, but also becasue they know everybody is thinking they did it.

Doesn't sound like there is a third 'parent.'

Yep, a horrible situation.

As soon as a wife or kid goes missing, the husband/father is always suspect number 1.

Wouldn't wish this sort of thing on my worst enemy.
