Purple,cool.

My Nan grows roses and I try to prune them but some of my mates at chess reckon they're just 'brambles' anyway. I told my nan and she reckons they don't know what they're talking about...

I dunno,.. but ya want to be careful not to cut too much cos they get straggly yet at the same time they grow so quick... you can almost see em grow,.. and they use a chainsaw at the racecources and golf clubs anyhoot... fun but. My Pa liked the roses so thought I'd have a look at 'em.

Don't like planting stuff yet but plenty of time for that I s'pose.

Shocked ... Shocked Shocked  Wink

Saw one of these when i was a little kid on my other Pas farm- my dads dad(PaPa to differentiate  Cool ) - in Tamworth(Currabubula) when i was ah less than 12??!.. i think we went there a couple of times actually, you'd hope so lol... and got a bit scared cos apparently they can run up ya: or was that just a scary story?? Anway, glad there was a tree close to him.

Nice to see on the farm but... can't remember if we lay down or just kept still: it was maybe 15 metres away. Think there was a tree near it  Shocked

Oh, yeh: My Pa(Mums Dad again) also said, "Make sure you always give the birds something to drink."  Cool Cool

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

My birds had hourly whiskey & sodas. Was that right?

As long as they didn't fly away I suppose it's all hunky dory! Well, maybe if they were careful...  Cool

Ohhhhhhh, ... is that what my Pa was telling me  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked ShockedSmiley Smiley

I've had large flocks of sulphur crested cockatoos flying overhead at regular intervals all day making a lot more noise than they usually do - and one flock of corellas.  They seem to have gone now and just as I began typing this the kookaburras started up....

Have any of you grown an Italian Cypress - also known as pencil pine or totem pine?

Any tips on planting, keeping the shape as it grows etc???

Thanks

All planted.  Hope it grows well.  It's a miniature variety.  3 mtr max height.

Finally got the base for the veggie patch dug up, added 2 bags of horse poo and dug that in along with some blood and bone.

Some fresh soil on top next weekend, with more poo and B&B.

Then let it all sit till ready for planting.

I can taste the tomatoes already!!! Cool

Yes thank you, they are few and far between, but the plot has been neglected for many many years.

Might have to top up the numbers!!
