Gillard did say that, remember seeing her on TV saying that.

Nah—we are heading in the wrong direction now.

Why do you tell lies George?

Do you think that repeating a lie often enough makes it true?
It doesn't. It just makes you a liar.

So does the Australia newspaper tell lies now]

Gillard said that she would bring in carbon price then move to a ETS and that is what she done

You people have a hard time with the truth for some reason.
1. Go read your article again and tell me when she would introduce an ETS and what she specifically ruled out.

2. Show me in the article where the actual quote was that Kat has been rudely insisting does exist.

This sounds familiar from another board.

How is life, Mr Combover Man?

Gillard said that. Gillard also was in minority govt after the election.

Actually sounds more like deepy than IQ.

Just what I was thinking, skippy—his last few posts were full of the fake moral superiority. Deepy is so bald a combover  would cover 1% of the acres of bald scalp. Think a soft boiled egg  Smiley

The carbon price is a fixed–price ETS, soon to become a variable price ETS.

This has been discussed ad nauseam.

Well, the carbon tax wasn't fixed, but indexed, so it was not a carbon price but a sliding tax or levy.

It was not a price but a debt top the government that could be traded -  a traded tax liability.

Tax, all the same.

Anyway, look what happened to Gillard.

But there is no auction for the permits so fixed price ETS.

And climate change is here and now.

Awesome work people, the March in March thread hits 55 pages, and it is still March.

Given the convoluted nature of issues that has been discussed in these very pages, it would seem to bare out the point made way back in early pages regarding the protest being about multiple issues.

I realised at the time that those making comment about the March having no clear point were, seemingly, incapable of comprehending more than single issues, particularly if it takes more than three words to sloganize those issues.

Well done I say, 55 pages, and that is even with the moronic chorus of "march of no consequence"... squealing in the bleaches. Too funny by half.

Yes and here it will stay forever more than likely a natural phenomenon, no tax will ever change that.
