The new GG

Well, certainly an improvement.

The good things about our finishing GG is that she dresses tastefully and expresses herself as one educated, the bad is that she had taken on office dishonestly - totally unsuitable.

As an admitted republican how could she accept the role as the representative of the Queen? And it was an impertinence on the part of Labor to have appointed her--

Really, it was an obvious sneer at England and its royalty. What for? To point at Labor's inferiority?

As far as I'm concerned, our values are similar to those of England, that of civilised people and to change them just for the sake of change is plainly stupid!

There was a discussion on 2GB about GGs who served in a correct sense.

I thought that Bill Haydn, once the leader of the Labor party, was excellent as GG.

He sure was an example to leftist leaders and GGs who act as smartasses.

Keelty didn't say anything that everybody didn't know already. For Cosgrove to then turn around and say Keelty was wrong was a treacherous act on the Aust people who had a right to know that their lives had been exposed to greater risk. Cosgroves response was all political.
