The worst are the people who take their omega 3 fish oil tablets.  Made from billions of the fish at the bottom of the food chain, leaving the fish on the higher rungs with nothing to eat.

These lame fads have a lot to answer for.

I agree th new red krill oil is a worry.

I think you got it backwards. It is more sustainable to take from the bottom of the food chain rather than the top, for the same quantity. In many fisheries we are being forced down and sideways to the less popular species simply because our favourite species are being pushed to the limit (eg atlantic salmon, coral trout, many shark species, tuna etc).

We had dinner at a Thai restaurant tonight.  For my entree I had salt and pepper squid, and for my main I had fried snapper with Thai vegetables and herbs and some sort of sauce (can't remember exactly what it was but it tasted good) and cashew nuts.

Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

Im always amused by these animal rights nutjobs who overlook the real issues in favor of the warm and fuzzy thrill of bashing some carnivore!
Why do they never address world population which at its current rate of increase will just about guarantee that by the end of the century every source of wild protein on the planet will be an unregulated food source. With a conservatively estimated world population of at least 10 billion good luck keeping whales, dolphin and seals off the menu!

Though there is a fool proof solution if you have the stomach for it. We have one near inexhaustible supply of protein on the hoof so to speak! An animal in plague proportions and found growing in every corner of the globe. Our friends in PNG loved it till recently and called it "Long Pig" the rest od us call it Man!

You left out cats. We already kill them by the thousands, then waste the meat, while sources of protein are being overharvested.

Fish grow themselves in large quantities Spot. They do this for free. They even seem to enjoy doing it.
