I think we need to be more honest with ourselves about the differences between Islam and Australian values. Our society has benefitted greatly from the separation of church and state and people are very vocal with criticism of the church. For some reason it is often the opposite with Islam - you aren't meant to talk about it in case it winds up the Muslims. I think this is the wrong way to respond. We need to have an open discussion about it.

I hope the outcome of that would be stricter entry requirements barring people who are fundamentally opposed to democracy, human rights, freedom etc.
