The federal government has failed to deliver on promises to protect whistleblowers, a press freedom report says.

Despite a 2007 pledge of reforms to restore trust and integrity in government, more than 500 secrecy clauses, which effectively criminalise the release of government information, remain in place, the report says……more

I remember Howard and Toni waxing lyrically about how they love having whistle blowers around as they sent troops to invade third world countries on the other side of the globe..all based on manipulation and outright lies Grin
