The tax cuts will be delivered through major structural reform that increases the tax free threshold from $6,000 to $18,200. This means up to one million people will no longer need to fill in a tax return. When combined with the low income tax offset (LITO), people will not pay net tax until their income exceeds $20,542.

AS everyone can see, the low income offset is NOT removed, longliar.

I despise the carbon tax, and always have.

But....

I'd rather a carbon tax than an Abbott govt.

Lesser of two evils, and all.

Why don't you all stop guesstimating & use this website

http://www.carbontax.net.au/household-compensation/

Click the estimate now button & fill in any scenario you want

Male - 65K
Wife 30K
2 kids - 7 & 11

Cost of tax = $621 $12 p/week
Compo = $759

Fact - Gillard's Government stinks in the polls - like a dead polecat!

Fact - The Carbon Tax will be the stake on which Gillard and Co die.

And those two points my fine friends will be the end of the current Labor Party as you know it.

Gillard got voted in on a lie and on that lie, she will die.

Personally I would prefer no carbon tax at all.
Why?

Without a carbon tax -

1) There is no need to hand out compensation for people to pay it
2) There is no need to adjust the tax brackets
3) There is no additional excuse for people to face greater bills.

I'm sorry but you take away the tax, you take away the need to go through this merry-go-round of making sure people are ok.

Getting Soft?

I think we should have the carbon tax & have NO compensation.
Stuff them the more poor that starve & freeze to death the less issue we will have with unsustainable population growth.
P.s We should airdrop all African water supplies with sterilization drugs, solve that sh!thole as well.

draconian but... it would solve a lot of problems.

the LITO has been removed. I dont know where you are getting your info from. But in any case, nobody is getting excited by the supposed tax cuts. they are trivial for most and non-existant for a lot and dont go even half way to compnesating for an unnecessary CT.

Yes Skippy, Longy has been a serial offender in respect to characterising Labor supporters as all needing to share the guilt of supporting pedophiles

From the same thread, and dont worry, the next time you step out of line, I'll be there.

If Cassius Clay as he was first known was writing about Gillard it would go something like this.

You think you gunna slip on by

But I'm gunna tag you low and high

Got no place to hide, when I'm comin' for you ass

You won't know what hit you, when I show what is class

Now Julia, you might as well throw the towel in right now

Because I'm comin' to get you and I'm gunna whip you and how!

the compo may be correct but the cost of the CT is anyones guess and thats all it is - a guess. At the VERY BEST the CT will be revenue neutral which means it will be totally ineffective and yet there is pretty much no chance of that happening.

My complaint about the CT is two fold. One, it is the product of an unquivocal lie and two, it has zero chance of acheiving its goals. Unless of course its only goal was to keep Gillard in power in which case I guess it worked!

You are an even bigger liar than I and everyone else gave you credit for. That quote I just posted here,AGAIN, is from a government web site. I bet you the 200 bucks you dogged out of yesterday you are lying and WRONG, you got the guts? then I'll post the link to prove I'm right, you got the balls, liar??????

Now, now Skippy, don't go worryin' yo pretty little head

Why when I get through with Julia, she might even end up dead

Ain't gunna be no prisoners taken

When I get her in the ring

I'll punch that Carbon Tax back in her

In a place that makes her sting

So forget yo worked up senses

And enjoy me do my thing

When I take out Julia Gillard

And make the her head go bing!
