Anzac Day is about remembering who died for us in War.

And remembering the people they killed?

The people they killed had families too you know.

Shall we remember them too?

They will remember their dead, we will remember our dead.

Except you, of course, who will want to elbow them aside and demonstratively pretend that you'd rather remember their dead and get all huffy if we remember ours, the pathetic meat head that you are.

Touching on a raw nerve of a meat head? It feels good.

You can remember every other dead person on every other goddam day of the year. On this one day, when you can remember your own dead,  in the company of your own people, remember your own dead.

Tomorrow you can get back to wringing your hand about everyone else - too.

Nope.  You're just showing what a total retard you are (not that there was ever any doubt).

I never said anything like you claimed I did.

Learn to read, before you make a bigger fool of yourself, OK little fella?

Oh, and next time you're at Kindy, ask the teacher what "too" means.  If you knew that before, you wouldn't have made such a big fool of yourself.

Treat it as a lesson.

Off you run now, you demented retard.

The ANZACS sacrificed their lives so that you would be free to leave the land they bequeathed to their descendants and spread your wings to far off places.  They never meant for you to stay here the world is your oyster to explore.

The Turkish leader was in contrast to W Churchill who got the sack for incompetence there, with criminal inquiry into some officers for neglect of troops. The ships drifted on the current in the night into the wrong tactical location. With the battle lost they kept the men there for months, and some chose suicide. But the Anzacs were just Australian colonials.

Uncle Meat, Like I did recently you have stepped way over the  mark. Your posts are now just handing out cheap shots and I got suspended for saying way less than you have.

I got what the moderator wrote to me and why I was suspended. I then realised that I was 'cheapening' the quality of my writing, by taking sarcastic cheap shots at my opponents. It made me realise that is was in fact, weakening my position in my arguments. I am trying to lift my game, although not always well.  I suggest you do the same because when you are 'on song' Uncle Meat' you write well, even if your position is usually diametrically opposed to mine.

Anzac Day is over now so perhaps we can finish this subject, with a nod to peace and reconciliation, just like the Turks have reconciled with Australia.

They respect and honour our War dead in Turkey and we their brave soldiers.

All soldiers involved the conflict went at the behest of their Government of the day.

Both sides fought the good fight and their memories should be respected and not pilloried on this site.

LEST WE FORGET

Turkey didn't want to join Germany but reluctantly did because Russia was expanding into Crimea. That was the reason for the Crimean war which Britain had fought against Russia 50 years previously. So Anzacs invaded Turkey for doing what Britain had done. And got handicapped by Britain when giving their lives for it. The Kaiser was Queen Victoria's grandson. If we don't laugh, we can cry.

Nice of Julia Gillard to go to Gallipolli.

I suppose this year is better than next year because she'd probably have to pay for herself next year after she loses her job.

May as well make hay whilst the sun shines and all that....

The ANZACS sacrificed so much for our freedom - we as a country will never forget them or stop thanking them for all they did - Lest we forget our heroes.
