Now you are the one introducing the Bible, but I could point to cultures all over the world and the natural order is the extended family, not the Atheistic Nanny state and Homosexuals are disowned everywhere. There is no point pretending thats not the way it is because that is the way it is because Parents instinctively know that to protect the family structure and well being the Homosexual must be disowned. Its ingrained in our DNA, its how we evolved.

ahh but Ive already voluntarily answered that question, and we all know you won't agree with me - so if the purpose of a "legal kinship" is not to provide a stable environemnt for the raising of children - what is the point?

Surely wirting a will would be much easier than rewriting the definition of a tradition that predates civilization itself? Surely if there is a problem with inheritance law, the right way to fix it would be to address inheritance law, rather than marital law as a proxy?

Let's do away with marriage altogether and just make sure every one has a will.
