Tribute to Jim Stynes.....One of the all time Greats!!!

Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life.

Jim was a great person who was one of the few players to have respect from opposition supporters and opponents.....A great footballer and an equally great human being.....There will never be another Jim Stynes he was one of the greatest ever to don a football boot or grace the hollowed turf of the M.C.G.....Jim Stynes will be sadly missed by everyone who loves football!!!

No other import from another code into AFL has ever come close to how good J Stynes was. He won the brownlow for best and fairest in a season.

To understand how huge that was, imagine Karmichael Hunt or Izzy Folau becoming the best player in the whole comp.

He was more than just a footy player, he was a leader and a genuine human.

Full article here.....
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/jason-akermanis-attacks-late-jim-styn...

Quote:
Jason Akermanis attacks ‘nasty man' Jim Stynes, saying he was treated like a ‘demigod'

LOUDMOUTH Jason Akermanis has attacked the late Jim Stynes as a "nasty man in his day'' who was being treated like a "demigod".

Favourite son's last wish for homecoming

JIM Stynes' ashes will be returned to Ireland and spread at a treasured spot he chose before he died.

In an explosive radio interview with Mix 92.7 FM on Queensland's Sunshine Coast today, the former three-time premiership player said the public outpouring of sympathy and grief at the passing of Stynes, who lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, was "overkill.''

Jason Akermanis has done himself no favors with this attack on Jim Stynes.....He is a fool for attacking someone who has just died and has shown a lack of respect not unknown to this bloke.....I like Jason Akermanis but I fear this time he has gone to far!!!
