Africa is poor and people are starving precisely because of this small scale terrorism. In the past such groups were funded by South Africa to create a buffer of instability. They are funded by multinationals to cover the plunder of diamonds and rare minerals.

Africa is largely a fertile region with plenty of water. The people have farming skills and with technological help, (wells and cheap poly irrigation) they can easily feed themselves. Africa's problems stem from conflict. Conflict that itself stems from the irrational carve up by colonialism that paid no heed to tribal boundaries and conflict created by foreign interests.

Some countries like Botswana have got their shyt together, but still have to contend with the influx of refugees fleeing conflict, on a scale that make a mockery of Australia's boat people.

Western governments do nothing to stop people like Kony. It's not in their national interest and most of the time it works for their national interest. It was part of the cold war game and destabalisation was the main purpose of the CIA, (see South America).

You're all wrong about a new initiative that's using people power. You campaign against it and your the useful idiot, not me.
