"Can do" has already shown some good initiatives. Disabled the Green schemes and got rid of corporate seats for politicians at stadiums.

He has a military and business background. His feet are firmly on the ground then. Contrarily, Labor is full of academics and trade unionists who would know sh*t when it came to business and discipline.

government is not a business ... the aim of government is not to make a profit, thats the role of companies ... its easy to see how you get confused

It is very similar to a business.
Governments receive tax revenue and then spend it.
Rule no. 1 in business: Don't spend what you don't have unless you are certain that your debts can be recovered.
Labor, not having business minds, ought not to be in control of money, especially other people's money.

It is not similar to business.. the role of government is to provide essential services, health care, education, police etc etc etc... if you had your way we would be invoiced every time we called the police , or for every shot the army took against an enemy soldier... what a load of rubbish. Governments often spend money they don't have. I do agree that they need to be able to pay it back, but we are no where near that point in Australia ...

You talk about good business managers, and you want Abbott ?... he nearly lost his house a couple of years ago, couldn't make his repayments , and thats just a household budget he got wrong ... imagine what he would do with other peoples money and a national budget ...

Okay, just spend money like there's an unlimited supply.

Ironically, that's why the economies of Europe and the US are going downhill.

The aim of government is not to go broke either. The ALP in Queensland had a lot of feel-good schemes that actually achieved nothing, except to drive the state closer to bankruptcy.

Any country/state/city is a financial entity.
Amongst ALL other things, it should be run on a financial basis.
That way, in the long term, it will be better for everyone.

Isn't that more or less what I said? The last thing we need is another mess like this one to tidy up, where  the previous state government went berserk with over-spending.

Where's Great One gone?
He's yet to tell us where this endless supply of money comes from.

That is not what was said and if you wish to be dimwitted you will be treated as a fool. Government is not a business.

What was said, then?
I said it's similar to a business, which it is.
Being a leftard you wouldn't understand how money works.

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

What was the Hockey quote?
Still, regardless of what Hockey said, I know how money works. The books must balance or you go bankrupt.
Yourself on the other hand, well, your retardation is common knowledge on the forum, you don't even have command of the English language let alone how to make budgets balance. Your opinion means squat.
