Glenn Milne has just stated on The Drum, that he reckons that Abbott should make a move against Turnbull over this - and sack him from the front bench...

Would Abbott have the guts to do this!?

Would it not be foolish of him to tempt fate by waving a red flag to Turnbull!?

If Gillard won't sack Rudd then why should Abbott sack Turnbull?

lol how simple are you!??!

You mean, aside from the fact that Rudd's popularity level remains low in caucus - and that Turnbull enjoys closer to 50% support in a deeply-divided party room!?

Lamenting the shift in the Australian psyche, away from the egalitarian ideal of the fair-go - and the rise of short-sighted pollies, who worship the 'Growth Fairy' and seek to divide and conquer!

Its like Ive always said..Turnbull is the only honest pollie in the coalition.
Now that Abbott has alined himself with the sellers  of mass addiction, misery and death and the true cost and useless nature of his popularist carbon pollution policy has been revealed.
I wonder what huge and petty whinge Abbott will come up with to distract his deeply depressed fan base from the truth.
Abbott is an expert at playing to the worst aspects of human nature and milking it to his own selfish ends but even he cant hold out for another 2 yrs. Black hearted black lunged Abbott..Big Tobaccos best friend!   Grin

Gee, I wonder when the Nationals became a majority?
Successive Lib PM's have had to put up with minority idiocy from these guys for decades, but I guess you didn't think of that before making yet another breathtakingly silly statement, based on absolute partisanship, and ignorance.

The difference between Rudd and Turnbull is Rudd will only get votes from Queensland where as Turnbull is universally liked and respected.
The more Abbott takes the insane position on policies..eg Tobacco, Carbon Pollution, Asbestos victims and has no viable alternative to the budget or anything else the closer Turnbull gets to becoming our next PM.

Yep, its becoming clearer by the day,Abbott has nothing but rhetoric and lies, with Abbott getting caught out daily now, Turnbull is about to take him out. The budget reply will go down as the beginning of the end for Abbott, Turnbull will be PM in 2 years, no doubt about it.

I dont remember a budget reply, all i remember is more of the same old whinging about the same old rubbish.
Really if he is so incompetent that he cant come up with an alternative budget to back up his hysterical claims then he really is a waste of space and a one trick pony.

My point exactly, he didn't make a budget reply, as is the norm, he instead whined and bitched about the gov. He is the first opposition leader EVER not to give an alternative budget. He's gone, you could see it in Turnbulls expression on his face during the budget reply,as soon as Abbott finished the reply Turnbull was out of the chamber, back to his office to begin number crunching no doubt. Since then Turnbull has been out in the media highlighting the difference between him and Abbott.I expect Turnbull to spend the next couple of months promoting himself and his visions, then about mid year, the  challenge.

I don't think Turnbull will look to move yet.

The coalition deserves to lose this election and Turnbull knows it.

If he wants to be PM he won't try to fight that natural flow of events too heavily!!!

THE LAST THINK HE WANTS IS THE LEADERSHIP AS A DESPERATE LAST MEASURE: HE WILL ONLY DO IT WITH MASSIVE SUPPORT AND CONCESSIONS GEARED TOWARD HIS VISION!
