That was your previous question and my more than adequate answer. Nowhere have I suggested banning religion.

You responded to questions about what you would ban with a reference to what is already illegal. Given your other demands to ban religious clothing it obviously does little to clarify your position. It just raises more questions about your agenda.

Quote:
I note that of any questions I've ever asked you there's been not one head on answer.

Perhaps you should stop asking such stupid questions then. At the very least you could make them about the arguments I have actually made rather than demanding I demonstrate the usefulness of spirituality or some other such nonsense.

I am happy  that each person should be able to make up their own mind on most issues, including religion!

However, they should do so without affecting the rights of others to their own beliefs, whatever they are perceived to be.

That said, they should also do so, without insisting that others believe as they do, nor should they do so by inflicting physical or mental harm on others!

Personally, I am agnostic on the question of a god or gods, although I can see some wisdom in the ethos (guiding beliefs) of some of the various religions.

However, it is also true that some of the human side of the various religions has had and continue to have, many failings and frankly we would do well to move on, from those imperfections.

In general, I would see some religious aspects being relegated, as the human population becomes more educated over time, but some aspects will stay, as the human condition seems to need some outside source of hope!

Thanks PN. That was a remarkably lucid effort.

the poll was doubtless fixed as it is in a communist dictatorship

It was a global poll, independent of the cuban government. Why do you have such a problem with cuban people being happy? It is almost a stereotype of them, and stereoptypes usually have some basis in reality.

the whole taking to the boats and dying in the attempt to get away is usually a clue for me that the place isnt really all that happy. Actions will always speak louder than polls!

Did it occur to you that it may have more to do with wealth rather than happiness? After all we are more than happy to accuse our queue jumpers of targetting Australia for financial reasons.

Bobby you seem to have an unusual fixation with that particular graphic. Is it special to you for any reason?

Never mind, I see that any image involving anal torture will do.

no. that seems an awfully convenient explanation. Im aware that weath and happiness are two different measures. But I doubt very much that so many people would risk death in a truly happy society esp one that is so dictatorial.

Longweekend- I couldn't even think of doing
such a thing to anyone.
Who thought of anal torture? - the Catholic Church &
they still do it today with the choir boys.
It's disgusting & only a sick mind could think of that.

The Church seems to be anally fixated.
You tell me how an infallible Pope came up with
the idea for people to be hoisted up on ropes &
dropped onto a pyramid which reamed out their backside
in order to torture them?

You can't answer that can you -
watch Longweekend disappear.
