No More Easter and Christmas

CHILDCARE workers who send tantrum-throwing toddlers to "time out" risk hefty fines under national childcare laws to come into force next year.
New regulations will expose childcare centres to penalties if children are required to take part in religious or cultural activities, such as Christmas tree decoration or Easter egg hunts. And family daycare providers will have to carry out criminal checks on neighbours, friends or relatives who visit their homes more than seven times a year while children are present.

Childcare supervisors risk personal fines for the first time, under the national legislation being adopted by state and territory governments.

Centres could be fined as much as $50,000, and supervisors $10,000, for failing to ensure children are adequately supervised, or for using "inappropriate discipline" to keep

Just more stupid regulations that will never be administered. I thought we were cutting back on the public service.

Time out....that was the last little bit of discipline left.....how absurd!

I remember last time they said teachers couldn't use red marking pens etc. turns out there is usually more than meets the eye with stories like this.

The ACA and TT of newspapers. Only credible sources will be treated as credible.

It amazes me how people who can't possible look after children for various reasons beyond just the financial one, are allowed to bring children into the world. Absolutely disgusting and primative!!

Also, China wants to become a SuperPower and play the 'modernised' Game as one of the Joneses. Formerly it took pride in its poverty of mass population, now it considers it a burden. Sorry to say, but I think China will crack under its own pressure. SuperNova!

The ALP is right of centre, Libs are even further right

Event he Greens are rigth of centre

Easter must be close.

Every year without fail these stories come out at Christmas and Easter time.

My favourite ones were always the cancellation of the Townhall and Martin Place christmas trees, yet there they'd still be, year after year.

But I should get into the spirit of things.....

Thar stealin' our Easter!!!!!!

THE Childcare Minister, Kate Ellis, has dismissed as
