Are Uranium supplies drying up ??
Mar 23rd, 2011 at 10:42am

According to this dude it is !!

http://web.streetauthority.com/m/srw/SRW01/player.asp?TC=SRW064&utm_source=NL-IU...

Just like other finite resources like coal and oil it looks like Uranium is another dead horse that protractors keep wanting to kick. This is what they don't tell you about. For all of these reactors they want to build there just isn't enough Uranium to fuel them all !! And the wankers will keep telling you how Nukula reactors are the future.

So what happens when the fuel dries up ?? Someone else's problem of course. Let them figure it out in the future Sad

If you had actually paid attention to what this bloke was saying Nails, you would have realised that he is spruiking investment in uranium stocks in anticipation of increased demand, not a lack of uranium. Roll Eyes

yes I know but the important point is that Uranium like any other non renewable source is a finite resource.

Why is it ok for our generation to use up all of the resources on the planet and then make it somebody else's problem in the future ??

The biggest uranium mine inthe world is in SA and it has at least 100 years supply. funny description of 'drying up' especially since it has virtually no other use other than nuke weapons or power generation.

Fukushima Smoking Gun Emerges: Founding Engineer Says Reactor 4 Has Always Been A “Time Bomb”, Exposes Criminal Cover Up

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/fukushima-smoking-gun-emerges-founding-engineer-says-reactor-4-has-always-been-time-bomb-exp

Mitsuhiko Tanaka says he helped conceal a manufacturing defect in the $250 million steel vessel installed at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi No. 4 reactor while working for a unit of Hitachi Ltd. in 1974. The reactor, which Tanaka has called a “time bomb,” was shut for maintenance when the March 11 earthquake triggered a 7-meter (23-foot) tsunami that disabled cooling systems at the plant, leading to explosions and radiation leaks....“Who knows what would have happened if that reactor had been running?” Tanaka, who turned his back on the nuclear industry after the Chernobyl disaster, said in an interview last week. “I have no idea if it could withstand an earthquake like this. It’s got a faulty reactor inside.”

Nuclear plant boss breaks down crying, admits radiation levels deadly

The boss of the company behind the devastated Japanese nuclear reactor today broke down in tears – as his country finally acknowledged the radiation spewing from the over-heating reactors and fuel rods was enough to kill some citizens

Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted that the disaster was a level 5, which is classified as a crisis causing ‘several radiation deaths’ by the UN International Atomic Energy.

Officials said the rating was raised after they realized the full extent of the radiation leaking from the plant. They also said that 3 per cent of the fuel in three of the reactors at the Fukushima plant had been severely damaged, suggesting those reactor cores have partially melted down. READ MORE

So what do they do after 100 years ??

we have at least one billion years of the sun left so which do you think we should be using as an energy source for the future preservation of society ??

The problem these AGW DENIALISTS have is purely based on pride and arrogance - not to mention their innate ignorance and total apathy of what is happening to the environment.

Somehow, they view a clean renewable and sustainanle society as linked to a communist plot, or some world order or conspiracy agenda.

And so as a response to AGW (which they deny) they would prefer that Australia switches from fossil fuel to a nuclear power pathway which is expensive in the long term, the most potentially lethal, and most toxic and dangerous.

This is how much contempt they have for clean and cheap energy options.

They would rather condemn future generations (of their own progeny mind you) to a world of nuclear waste dumps and ticking nuclear power plant radiation time bombs than to embrace something as natural anc clean as solar thermal for example.

They cannot deliniate between their political bigotry and a mature ability to make a sound and common sense decision.

Dont worry my little delusional cowardly AGW DENIALIST freak-clowns nobody will lable you a socialist, environmentalist or a tree hugger. You can continue your capitalist ways and bend over on a daily basis to receive the fascist corporate de-rimming that you dont even know you are paying for
