By default, it opens to the most recent message. There is a way of reversing it in Yabb(a check box), but I agree that it's better as it is.
Say what?If I open a post such as, "No Excuses For Years Of Cuts To Social Spending", it opens at page 1, which is the oldest post, not page 13, which has the recent ones, but all the pages have the oldest at page top and the most recent at page bottom.
That's not what I would call opening to the most recent message.
The sunlight breaks thru?Unless, are you referring to the main page for each major subject, such as Politicians Suck, where the most recent post comes in at the top of that page?
If you are referring to that, then I agree, that is emminently sensible and that is what Lerche is saying should also apply to each thread, with the most recent post on each thread appearing at the top of page one and then in desending order from there.
And, I have to say, I hadn't thought of it before Lerche raised it, but it makes sense to have the most recent post on top, on the major subject page and for the same reasoning it makes sense to have the most recent post register first, on each thread!
FD, Muso & others, are we all on the same page (pun intended) now?
Thoughts please.
