I was blacklisted on yahoo politics
Jun 24th, 2010 at 5:24pm

My name bobbythebat1 has been blacklisted on yahoo.
I made a new yahoo name:  bobbythebat2.

Every time I started a new topic it would be deleted in hours.
I suppose they didn't like me telling their customers to
come here to ozpolitic.
Certainly all threads recommending them to come
here on weekends when yahoo was closed were deleted.

It shows how their conditions of service has a very wide definition.
It extends to a lot more than using rude words.
They should include recommending other forums when
theirs is closed. Wink

They (Yahoo 7) will lead themselves, to their own demise!

Their own demise?
They still seem to be doing well.
People don't realise that unless you adopt the labor line
then you're going to have your threads deleted &
ultimately be blacklisted.

Most posters that push a labor line on yahoo boards seem to get blacklisted.   There are some quite radical liberal posters on those boards who have been there for years.  It seems they can say what they like but not only are they not banned, their replies are never deleted either.

IMHO, the yahoo boards seem very rightwing

You're not wrong -
Longweekend & Bahamian seem to get away with so much.
I am lost as to why they blacklist some people & allow
others who are just flamers & trolls to continue.
I don't understand it & their moderators never answer questions.
If you start a thread asking the mods a question - it is deleted
immediately.

So how did everyone there find out about this place if the threads get deleted? Can you send PMs over there?

Other people saw my thread & repeated it under their names.
There were more than 5 in a row that were deleted but
the news still got out - probably directly & by messenger.

bobby - that's really bad of yahoo.
I am many things, and the thing I am most is a "freedom of speecher".

those that deny arguments against themselves are
1/ uncertain of them selves or
2/ refuse to improve themselves.

They are backward, repressed and will never grow.

one of the great things F/D did here was to give some resident muslims their own forum to moderate.
He let them have their say.
I entirely disagree with them, but I much more strongly agreed with F/D approach  .

bobby if its of any benefit and as your probably already aware. That I have not  spent much  time on Yahoo of late  trying  to not support it.

I welcomed your posts regarding this site and I think Yahoo has noticed the influx of their posters that signed up. That & with closing weekends I dont understand why people continue to go back there so regulary....

Veg - it's amazing that internet forums are so frightened of words
that people need to be blacklisted if they don't write what
the moderators want to read.
Why don't these sites just be honest & tell people the line
they have to take?
They give a false impression of free speech.

A newspaper journalist said on TV last week that what is really
the news doesn't get published.
He said that over half of what he writes is never published &
that is about average for people in his profession.

I sent an email to a couple of the advertisers, bringing it to their attention that they were being ripped off, if they were under the impression that there was traffic flowing through the site all weekend. Someone else did too. Maybe the sponsors got onto them.

I also started three threads directing people here, and I wasn't black listed.

Come on Bobby, what did you really do?

Only joking!
