Naughty, naughty... misquoting Wink

But since it's all in the interests of comedy, all good Grin.

I think we can say quite a few Australian Prime Ministers had a prost(r)ate problem. Menzies with Queenie ("I did but see her passing by..."). Now its US Presidents whom "they did but see passing by...".

lol, I had forgotten about menzies, now he was a queer bird wasn't he?
How must his wife have felt to have this silly old duffer creaming his strides every time he looked at the back of a coin.

And what about the poor old yanks, they are copping a flogging here, which I suppose is historically in keeping with our digger roots.
The WW2 expression about yanks was, "over paid, over sexed, and over here".

My uncle was in the middle east and on kokoda, and did not mind the yanks, but he used to laugh about all their medals.
He used to say if you were in the american army you could get a medal for spelling your name right. Grin

Which was actually harder than it sounds for many, another uncle who was in the navy used to make a bit of extra cash by writing letters for americans who could not read or write, as a great many, especially those from poorer rural areas, as significant numbers were, had never received the education that aussies took for granted.

But all in all, when you think about it, the yanks aren't too bad, sure a quarter of them are religious maniacs who think they will have jesus around for a coffee and a bit of rapture, and a half of them are not so very far removed from the poor soldiers of WW2 in the education stakes, but that still leaves many millions of the best and brightest people that this world of ours have ever seen.
Artists, musicians, scientists of fantastic talent abound, and flourish there, so before we sink the boot in too much, we should give credit where credit is due, and all those complaining about our current migration mix would surely not object to a few yanks being chucked into the mix.

I think Queenie herself wished he'd never said it. If you watch the footage, it's one of the very few times in her life that she has publicly flinched with embarrassment. I bet her arsehole goes tight every time she thinks of it even 50 years later.

Yes my, now dead, family who fought in the Pacific (and the ones who returned) generally had nothing but good things to say about Yanks.

Yeah, I've got no problems with the yanks. I heard a couple of tourists on the train the other day.

"Gee. These trains are run by the government. Not bad, eh?"

"Yeah. And look at all the hospitals. They're all run by the government too."

"Yeah? So they're socialists."

"Everyone's socialist. I mean, look at Europe."

"Right. Anyway, I hear these Three Sisters are something. They're rocks, right?"

Many of you say " Typical american so arrogant to think they know all the answers when their own country is screwed up." But the reason I am concerned is because I and many other freedom loving americans may have to flea america to australia. I have seen on a larger and more relevant scale what harm a government can create. I mean you have to think 35 million people in the U.S. are on food stamps and dependent upon the government to eat. That is what 50% larger than all of Australia. There are murders and rapes everyday in every city and it is an afterthought in the U.S. I work and see everyday the filth of crime and a welfare state. The government has caused all these problems. Generations of families without fathers have created welfare states and no discipline where the the only rule that you live by is what can I get away with. The government's monetary policy of artificially low interest rates for way to long spurred malinvestment into real estate where wall street wrapped up by mortgages and sold them and their biggest buyer were Government sponsored enterprises and caused a credit bubble where we look at the symptoms but not the cause. Let me tell you our country has lost it!! We are done there will soon be social unrest when the welfare citizens checks don't buy anything because of hyperinflation. I have australian mining stocks and some OZ dollar because I think the fundamentals of your economy are much better. But I promise you I see everyday the riches of the american life to the debris of a welfare state where crime runneth over. Many of you know the standard of living in the USA is high but the quality of life (Crime, stress,) is not admired. Please liberate australia and create an environment where people are free to make their own decisions and run their own life and where personal responsibility is a family tradition. A county must control it's borders, language and culture. Your borders should only let workers you deem desirable, your language is english and your culture is self-reliance and rugged individualism.

Thank you AmericanCitizen

Australia's probably still the best country in the world, and we need good people here. I for one would love to see more Americans settling here.
Soren is right...there is just a certain section of the community, who in their immaturity, regardless of age, think it's cool to be anti-American.

No thanks. Fix your own country. Start by understanding it - better than you understand ours at the very least.

What? How stupid are you. I told you I am in the minority of ideology know or atleast soon will be. I would wipe the floor with your ass in anything. I am sick of your attitude you have no economic understanding and you can't think outside of your anti american rhetoric. Why don't you look at the things that have caused americans problems it's the things I'm preaching against.
