As far as Swine Flu goes, kids are most at risk

Thats right, but kids under ten cannot get the vaccine.

Under 6 months can't get the vaccine as far as I am aware.

Nope, its ten years old, it was all over the news last week, as I thought WTF is the point.
The're not sure if its "SAFE" for kids under ten, I'm not sure if its safe for people over ten.

Quote:
The vaccination roll-out will begin today, with an estimated 21 million doses of the vaccine nationally, making it Australia's single biggest immunisation program.

The initial focus of the program will be on vaccinating groups who are most vulnerable to severe outcomes from the virus.

These groups have been identified as:

• Pregnant women

• Indigenous people

• Parents and guardians of infants up to six months

• Children in special schools

• People with underlying medical conditions which could include heart disease, asthma and other lung diseases, cancer, obesity, diabetes, kidney and liver disease and neurological disease

• Healthcare workers

Initially, children under 10 years will not be offered the vaccine, as data from the trials on younger children will not be available until late October or early November.

Nope - no shot for me. I heard some poor bloke on the radio saying he had the vaccine because he was so busy at work and didn't want to get sick. He ended up with Guillain-Barre syndrome and it's in God's hands whether he ever goes back to work.

So you would base your decision on the experience of some guy you heard on the radio, and not medical professionals?
