A womans lot under islam.

Quote:
A HIGH profile Sudanese woman journalist is facing 40 lashes after being accused of wearing "indecent" clothes, with 10 women already whipped for similar offences against Islamic law.

Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein, who writes for the left-wing Al-Sahafa newspaper and works for the media department of the United Nations Mission in Sudan, was arrested in Khartoum last week and charged with dressing indecently.

Ms Hussein said she was at a restaurant on July 3 when police came in and ordered women wearing trousers to follow them to the police station.

"They took away me and 12 other young women, including southerners," she said, referring to women from Sudan's animist and Christian south where the Muslim north's Islamic or sharia law does not apply.

"Two days later, 10 of them were summoned to the police station in downtown Khartoum and given 10 lashes each," Ms Hussein said.

The remaining three women, including Ms Hussein, have been charged under Sudanese law with "committing an indecent act or one which violates public morality or wearing indecent clothes".

If convicted, they face a mandatory 40 lashes. Ms Hussein said she did not know when her case would be heard.

"I want people to know what happened," she said.

Unlike some countries in the region, particularly in the Gulf, women have a prominent place in Sudanese public life. Nevertheless, human rights organisations say that some laws discriminate against women.

I bet 40 lashes of their whip would make many people faint. At the least.

This is not just another example of the violence of muslims.
This happened in USA. A secular democratic country.
Evict them from every secular country.
They add nothing anywhere and do not assimilate.

Quote:
For Chancey Bailey, one of the most respected black journalists in America, last Friday's trip to work should have been like any other.
The editor of the Oakland Post was strolling down the pavement in Oakland, a mostly black city next to San Francisco. Bailey, 57, lived just a few blocks away.
Suddenly, a man dressed in black and wearing a mask appeared. Shots rang out and Bailey collapsed from three bullet wounds. He was dead before an ambulance arrived; the apparent victim of an assassination.
Bailey's murder has shocked the San Francisco Bay Area. It has also rippled out into the rest of America as the country comes to grips with the daylight murder of a senior newspaper editor.
There is little doubt that Bailey was executed. It was the kind of ruthless murder more likely to be found on the streets of Moscow than northern California. "This was no random act," said Sergeant Derwin Longmire, an Oakland police spokesman.
Bailey's routine was well-known and it is likely that his killer had been monitoring his movements for some time before he struck. After the shooting, the killer was picked up by a van.
The reason that Bailey was killed appears to lie with the secretive and shadowy black Muslim sect in Oakland that Bailey was investigating.
A day after he died, a series of dramatic police raids unfolded across the city, aimed at a group of Islamists centred on a business called Your Black Muslim Bakery. The bakery was the centrepiece of a business empire founded by Yusef Bey, a black Muslim leader in Oakland whose followers preached a strict message of Islam and black political power. Bey's followers have long been the subject of intense police and media scrutiny for their alleged use of strong-arm tactics in promoting their business interests and also shutting down stores that sold alcohol.
Bey was also stridently anti-homosexual and awaited trial on 27 counts of sex crimes when he died of cancer in 2003.
Bailey had written articles about Your Muslim Black Bakery and was believed to be working on further investigations when he was killed. He had recently been making enquiries in the black business community about the bakery's finances. His colleagues also told police he had recently received death threats because of his journalistic work, but had not been specific about their source.
The raids ended with seven arrests and the discovery of a cache of weapons and ammunition. Police said initial findings had linked some of the weapons to Bailey's case. "The search warrant yielded several weapons and other evidence of value linking the murder of Chauncey Bailey to members of Your Muslim Black Bakery," said assistant police chief Howard Jordan.
Jordan said the raids had been part of a year-long probe that was investigating charges of murder, kidnapping and other crimes.
A simple shrine of flowers and notes now marks the spot where Bailey died. There is a large stuffed bear and poster boards for people to leave messages. His death has stunned colleagues and ordinary Americans who are unused to the murder of journalists. The last reporter killed in America "in the line of duty" was a photo editor in Florida who died as a result of the anthrax postal murders in 2001.

on and on it goes, all in support of mohammad .
remember, in islam, the more extreme one is, the more religious one is.

Quote:
IRAN hanged some members of a Sunni rebel group in a volatile southeastern area today, but they were put to death in prison and not in public as initially planned, the semi-official Fars News Agency said.

Fars had reported yesterday that 14 members of Jundollah (God's soldiers) would be executed in a park in the city of Zahedan, including the brother of its leader Abdolmalek Rigi.

But Ebrahim Hamidi, who heads the judiciary in Sistan-Baluchestan province, said today the executions took place in a jail instead and that Rigi's brother would be put to death later in the week.

He did not say how many were hanged.

Predominantly Shi'ite Muslim Iran says Jundollah is part of the Sunni Islamist al-Qaeda network and backed by the US, Tehran's arch foe.

"This morning the executions of some members of the Jundollah terrorist group ... were carried out in prison," Mr Hamidi told Fars.

"The hanging sentence for Abdolhamid Rigi ... will be implemented by the end of the week."

"Previously the hanging sentences for these convicts were supposed to be carried out in public, but based on final decisions the sentences were carried out in prison," Mr Hamidi said without giving a reason.

Jundollah says it fights for the rights of Iran's minority Sunnis.

Most people in Sistan-Baluchestan are Sunni Muslims and ethnic Baluchis. Zahedan is the provincial capital.

Yesterday, Fars said the Jundollah members sentenced to hang were convicted of mohareb, or one who is waging war against God, and of killing innocent people.

It did not mention a mosque bombing in Zahedan which killed 25 people in May.

Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television had reported that Jundollah claimed the bombing.

On May 30, three people convicted of involvement in the mosque bombing were hanged in public.

A day later clashes broke out between supporters and opponents of a Sunni cleric in Zahedan and six people died in an arson attack, media reported.

they are coming thick and fast.

Quote:
A pro-government militiaman has been killed and six other people have been injured in separate explosions in the southern Philippines, police say.

Shortly before noon on Monday, suspects aboard a motorcycle tossed a fragmentation grenade into a busy street in downtown Cotabato city, local police chief Senior Superintendent Willie Dangane said.

Six people, including a police officer, were hurt. One of them is said to be in a critical condition in hospital, Dangane said.

Four hours earlier, a pro-government militiaman was killed when a powerful improvised explosive device was set off in front of a military detachment in the town of Upi, near Cotabato, the military said.

No one has claimed responsibility for Monday's attacks but military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Ponce said they suspected the separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was behind the explosions.

A so-called "special operations group" of the MILF was blamed for a series of bombings that hit the volatile southern region early this month, killing at least eight and wounding over 100 others.

The MILF broke a five-year-old ceasefire in August last year, carrying out simultaneous attacks across Mindanao after a proposed land deal with the government was rejected by the courts.

Fighting that followed has since triggered a humanitarian crisis, with over half a million displaced and scores of civilians and fighters killed.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front - ha ha

"bugger off.... we're the Islamic Liberation Front of Moro"

But apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the West ever done for us?

muslims repeat their history in miniature

PATTANI, Thailand — Drive-by shootings blamed on Muslim rebels killed three civilians in southern Thailand, where an insurgency has left thousands dead in the past five years, an army spokesman said Monday."

it's more muslim madness to allow terririst schools to operate.
They want to kill us all off. That's the only conclusion I can come to.

Quote:
INDONESIA will continue to live with the threat of terror attacks unless its government cracks down on the militant Islamic schools and religious zealots who espouse worldwide jihad.

Last Friday's hotel bombings in Jakarta have focused attention yet again on a network of radical Islamic boarding schools across Indonesia that continues to espouse the cause of violent jihad and churn out eager young zealots willing to die in its name.

Four days after the bombings, investigators have linked them to two Islamic schools that are well known to the Indonesian authorities but have neither been shut down nor had their activities or teachings curtailed.

The first of these is the now notorious Al Mukmin pesantren (boarding house) at Ngruki in Solo, Central Java, where the Marriott suicide bomber is reported to have been schooled.

The second is a smaller school at Cilacap in Central Java, where a bomb identical to the hotel bombs used in Jakarta was found in July, and which is believed to have provided shelter to suspected mastermind Noordin Top.

A Muslim leader in Jakarta yesterday identified the man who detonated a backpack and case full of explosives inside the Marriott restaurant as Nur Hasbi, who is believed to have graduated from the Ngruki school in 1995. Thus the school continues to live up to its reputation as "a crucible for the formation of cadres of mujahidin", and its mission, "to nurture zeal for jihad so that love for jihad and martyrdom grow in the soul of the mujahidin", in the words of its co-founder, Jemaah Islamiah leader, Abu Bakar Bashir.

Nur Hasbi was no doubt inspired by his reported classmate, Asmar Latin Sani, who carried out the previous attack on the Marriott in 2003, after which his severed head was found on the fifth floor of the smashed hotel.

The connection is no coincidence.

The Ngruki school and others linked to JI -- chiefly the Darul Syahadah ("house of martyrs") and Al Muttaqin schools, both in Central Java -- have produced no less than dozens of young recruits linked to a string of terrorist attacks, starting with the first Bali bombings in 2002. "The most common link between participants in the terrorist movement in Indonesia in the past 10 years has been attendance at those schools," says Ken Ward, a former senior analyst with the Office of National Assessments, who has worked on in a project tracing terrorist networks in Southeast Asia, in conjunction with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.........

Quote:
........Noor Huda Ismail, a graduate of Abu Bakar Bashir's pesantran in Ngruki that has been the breeding ground for so many violent jihadists, says some of those who protect Noordin are not necessarily advocates of mass casualty attacks.

"Even if they don't agree with everything he does, they respect him as a fighter," he said. "Of course, others just see him as a hero of Islam."

SO, mass murderers are (of course) heroes of islam AND though some may disagree with the mass murderers, they will still protect the mass murdering muslims.

can the nutter muslims imagine any other way to ostracize themselves from the free world ?
just gave free advertising to a movie that had sunk from sight AND showed themselves again for being what they are.

Quote:
SACHA Baron Cohen has been forced to tighten security around himself and Australian partner Isla Fisher after threats from a terrorist group over his film Bruno.
Palestinian militia coalition the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades says it is "very upset" at featuring in the movie, in which Baron Cohen appears as a gay fashionista.

"We reserve the right to respond in the way we find suitable against this man," the organisation says in a letter to a Jerusalem-based journalist.

"The movie was part of a conspiracy against the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades."

In the film, Baron Cohen's Austrian character arranges a meeting with the organisation's Ayman Abu Aita and asks to be kidnapped so he can become famous.

The scene ends abruptly when Mr Abu Aita closes his hand into a fist and orders his guest to "get out now".

"This was a dirty use of our brother, Ayman, and we don't accept that the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades is part of the film," the group says.

Baron Cohen has increased his security around himself, actress Fisher, and their baby daughter Olive in preparation for reprisals, London's Times newspaper reports.

The organisation is a United States-designated terrorist group accused of orchestrating suicide bombings and shootings.

Mr Abu Aita says he is no longer connected to the group and has threatened to sue Baron Cohen.

His lawyer, Hatem Abu Ahmad, says his life is at risk for being associated with the homosexual character.

Another brave person stands against an outmoded repressive islamic regime.
The best of luck for her.

Quote:
A journalist arrested in Sudan for wearing trousers has become a symbol for women's rights across Africa.

AS THE morality police crowded around her table in a Khartoum restaurant to see what she was wearing, Lubna Hussein had no idea that she was about to become a symbol for women’s rights in Sudan.

She had arrived at the Kawkab Elsharq Hall on a Friday night to book a cousin’s wedding party. She left less than an hour later under arrest as a ‘‘trouser girl’’ — humiliated in front of hundreds of people, then beaten around the head in a police van before she was hauled before a court to face a likely sentence of 40 lashes for the ‘‘sin’’ of not wearing traditional Islamic dress.

The officials who tried to humiliate her expected her to beg for mercy, as most of their victims do.

Instead she turned the tables on them. In court tomorrow, Mrs Hussein will dare judges to have her flogged, as she makes a brave stand for women’s rights in one of Africa’s most conservative nations.

She has become an overnight heroine for thousands of women in Africa and the Middle East, who are flooding her email inbox with supportive messages. To the men who feel threatened by her she is an enemy of public morals, to be denounced in the mosques and newspapers’ letter pages.

As she recounted her ordeal in Khartoum at the weekend, Mrs Hussein, a widow in her late 30s who works as a journalist and United Nations press officer, managed cheerfully to crack jokes, despite the real prospect that in a couple of days she will be flogged with a camel-hair whip in a public courtyard where anyone who chooses may watch the spectacle.

‘‘Flogging is a terrible thing — very painful and a humiliation for the victim,’’ she said. ‘‘But I am not afraid of being flogged. I will not back down.

‘‘I want to stand up for the rights of women, and now the eyes of the world are on this case I have a chance to draw attention to the plight of women in Sudan.’’

She could easily have escaped punishment by claiming immunity as a UN worker, as she is entitled to under Sudanese law.

Instead, she has resigned from the UN, to the confusion of judges who last Wednesday adjourned the case because they did not know what to do with her.
‘‘When I was in court I felt like a revolutionary standing before the judges,’’ she said, her eyes blazing with pride. ‘‘I felt as if I was representing all the women of Sudan.’’

Like many other women in the capital, Mrs Hussein fell foul of Sudan’s Public Order Police, hated groups of young puritans employed by the Government to confront drinkers of alcohol and women who, in their view, are insufficiently demure.

Despite their claims of moral superiority, they have a reputation for dishonesty and for demanding sexual favours from the women they arrest.

Mrs Hussein was one of 14 women arrested at the Kawkab Elsharq Hall, most of them detained for wearing trousers.

The police had difficulty seeing what Mrs Hussein was wearing under her loose, flowing Sudanese clothes. She was wearing a headscarf and green trousers, not the jeans that she said she sometimes wears.

‘‘All the girls were forced to crouch on the floor of the pick-up with all the policemen sitting on the sides,’’ she said.

This one is so relativelt minor it hardly warrants posting.
Unless one was one of the victims that is.

Quote:
Almas Hameed grabbed his 7-year-old daughter and stumbled out of their smoke-filled home as she pleaded in vain to bring her pet parrots. His wife, father and two other children did not survive.

Outside, hundreds of
enraged Muslims
called the victims "dogs" as they fired guns and burned house after house in the Christian neighborhood
of this eastern Pakistani city. The weekend rampage left eight Christians dead. All but one were relatives of Hameed.

"We always live in fear," said Hameed, 50. "I wonder if I will see a time in this country when I can live like an equal citizen.".........

That one about the Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade is GOLD.

Something muslims never have, is a sense of humour.

Rapist's High Court bid to keep secret
August 4, 2009 - 12:17PM

Confidential material about a Sydney cabbie who raped three female passengers is to remain secret to give him the opportunity to go to the High Court.

Hassan Nagi, 37, has pleaded guilty in the NSW District Court to raping the women, but has yet to be sentenced due to a dispute over the confidential material.

In June, Judge James Bennett ruled that a non-publication order he had made on the material should be lifted, which prompted Nagi to go to the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal.

The Appeal Court today dismissed his challenge, but "stayed" its orders and findings to give Nagi an opportunity to seek special leave to appeal to the High Court.

Justices John Basten, Robert Hulme and Peter Johnson gave Nagi 28 days to lodge his application for special leave if he intends to go to the High Court.

Nagi had admitted raping the woman, aged 31, 23, and 27, in 2003, 2006 and 2007.

Two of his victims were heavily intoxicated and on their way home when attacked.

The Appeal Court was told the confidential information became available "as a result of certain events which occurred in March 2009".
