The other day on TV women who lost job said: “ Workers or government should take over the factory”.
Few days ago the media reported that Communist Party is getting more and more popular in Australia.

Karl Marx 1867 said:

“Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead *to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalized, *and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to communism.”

While I admit that it is a little scary having quasi-socialists like Rudd and Obama in power, I am not as fearful of moving towards Socialism or Communism as some are. I think Capitalism and freedom will prevail. It was not long ago the free world was fighting against communist forces. It hasn't been long enough for the world to forget that they are the communists, we're the capitalists. Socialism has failed in every capacity and I remain hopeful that our world leaders are not stupid enough to go down that road. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Communist parties may be growing in popularity but so are Libertarian parties. Ron Paul, in running for US President last year, gave new life to the libertarian movement. Since then a lot of people have joined the movement. I think in coming year we'll see a split between those who believe in government and those who do not. Right now we have two sides, one believe in government in certain aspects, the other believes in government in other aspects. But I sense the division is becoming much more clearer. You either trust the government or you do not. You either want them to have the power or you want we the people to have the power. You do you trust more, your neighbour or your elected officials? That's what it's going to come down to. Forget liberals/progressives and conservatives. In a few years time you'll know the two sides of politics as authoritarians and libertarians.

Obama's to the left of the Labor and Liberal parties. In what way is he right-wing at all? Australia and the US are very similar politically. What's left-wing there is left wing here. Social programs, progressive taxation, unions, social progressivism, is considered left-wing in both countries. Free-market capitalism, strong national defence, social conservatism, is considered right-wing in both countries. We really are not much different. Democrats/Labor and Republicans/Liberals. What the difference?

The state of the world is slightly chaotic, especially at the moment.

There needs to be a lot more transparency in regards to government and big business, and they definitely shouldn't overlap.

Good news is that there are arrests happening in the USA at the moment, merchant bankers and runners of investment portfolios are getting hung up to dry due to massive corruption exposures.

Yeah i know all about communist education methods, my grandfather told me first hand what the Hungarian AVO did to him AND of his treatment in a Russian P.O.W camp in 1944. Im so lucky he escaped from the latter one.
So no i do believe i shall pass on your offer of ''re-education'', the term which reeks highly of the ministry of love from 1984. Why the hell would i want to go backwards for?
I like the idea of individual ownership, subtle class differences which seperates those who worked hard from the bums of society. Nobody who earned what they have should be forced to hand over their assets to someone who leeched off society from birth.
I am all for a socialist system but NOT a communist one.
