Did he attribute his military success to his fiath in God? Did later leaders claim their military success as validation for the Islamic faith? Did Muhammed make any prognostications about future military success?

Some battles were considered to have been won by divine intervention, yes.

Can't think of any specific example, no. Although the example I'll mention when answering the next question obviously had quite divine implications.
