No you are not safe. If you did forward it, contact the people you sent it to by phone and tell them to delete it. Delete it from your web based email too. Then empty your trash and hope the service provider doesn't keep records for a long time. Chances are the various service providers will start searching for these images on their servers.

If you viewed the images at all they could still be on your hard disk - eg in your temporary internet files etc. Even if you delete it from there a good IT guy can still show that it was on your computer.

According to Law and Order, they don't always work either. But good luck. I would expect that if you showed 'good faith' then the cops would not prosecute you. Unless of course they are out to get you, in which case you are screwed.

That's odd. Was it before the verdict? Maybe it was one of the images not deemed to be pornographic, or they edited it sufficiently. They wouldn;t do that with any other child porn. Do they have the image online?

(Pride) And I have a talent of fitting music with the mood. It's a shame copyright laws and poo would prevent me from adding a music cd with the book. Because I told my girlfriend that if you truly wanted to feel my religion, you would need something with a grunge base but no lyrics, the sound of humans clutters and ruins it. I hate the noise of human chatter.. and it has to be antagonistic, like something that would hurt the ears if played unexpectedly and loudly.
