freediver Gold Member Offline www.ozpolitic.com Posts: 47481 At my desk.	abortion reduces the crime rate Oct 7^th, 2008 at 1:03pm Apparently the crime rate went down in American states in a predictable manner roughly 20 years after abortion was legalised. It's all in a book called 'Freakonomics'.

It's not whether it is rising or falling that measures the impact. Rather, it is the change in the rate. For example you can get a significant reduction in the rate of rise without causing a fall.

Yes but "rogue economist" himself was writing only about falling rate and not about the change in the rate.
