A unions can of worms and double speak.
Nov 16th, 2007 at 12:45pm

"Militant West Australian unionist Joe McDonald will drop his legal battle against his expulsion from the ALP to show "solidarity with his comrades".

Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union boss Kevin Reynolds said he was quitting the Labor party over its treatment of his wife, Labor MP Shelley Archer, who resigned on Thursday before she could be expelled.

By quitting the ALP, Ms Archer pre-empted moves by WA Premier Alan Carpenter to expel her over confidential leaks to her mentor, lobbyist and disgraced former premier Brian Burke.

They join in exile from the Labor party, CFMEU WA deputy Mr McDonald who was recently expelled from the ALP, at the behest of Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd, over comments he made about Prime Minister John Howard.

Mr McDonald was fighting Mr Rudd's "capricious act of expulsion".

But on Friday said he would drop that battle to show support for his mates.

"So today I announce my departure from Labor Party ranks," Mr McDonald said in a statement.

"I do not intend to press the challenge to my expulsion.

"I vehemently believe my expulsion was unjust - but rather than lay down and take it - I choose to show solidarity to my comrades and join them in their protest against the party."

If Kevvy gets in he'll be back.  The unions have made it pretty clear they want to bugger business over.

I'ld be a trifle concerned if I was a small business owner.

I'd be a trifle concerned if I was an Australian.  Oh, I am, no wonder I'd be worried if Liebor got in.   Still I shouldn't grumble - we've had ten good years.

And here's the evidence the union thugs will be back - blackmail.  There's a dirt file . . . .

Quote:
Rudd pleased WA union heavy has quit ALP

Labor leader Kevin Rudd says he's pleased unionist and party powerbroker Kevin Reynolds has decided to quit the party.

Mr Reynolds quit after his partner, state MP Shelley Archer, was forced to resign from the ALP by West Australian Premier Alan Carpenter because of her links with disgraced former premier Brian Burke.

Mr Reynolds claims to have a dirt file on Mr Rudd and deputy Labor leader Julia Gillard that he is threatening to release after the election.

"He has made his own decision. I'm very pleased with Mr Reynolds' decision," Mr Rudd told reporters in Perth.

"I'll leave all the threats to Mr Reynolds.

"I believe firmly that in the case of Mr Reynolds that Premier Carpenter's handling of this matter, his judgment, is entirely correct and he has my complete support."

I didn't see that one. normal labour tactics. That and brawling.

Terrible aren't they.
Did you read that quote a while ago where a long term ALP sitting member was rolled for a union official. rudd told him he does not have the power to stop them.
rudd will be done in 6 months.
that member is now an independant.

They'll roll Dudd for sure.  He is detested but they think he has the style to win and will bide their time.  Once in he would no longer have the support of his colleagues and someone like Killhard will be elevated to PM - she will be bent all out of shape by the unions and a new socialist Liebor Party will appear from the destruction.  The already crippled economy will die then and a recession will lead us into new despair - just like pre Johnny.
