It wasn't 'his church' sprint. Are you seriously suggesting the pope is a muslim now? If you entered a catholic church, say for a wedding, and while you were in there you prayed to God, would that make you a catholic, or just not a bigot?

I am not suggesting that at all freediver.
I am saying he is salt that has lost its saltiness.  Good for only throwing out.

So to be a true Christian you have to be antagonistic towards muslims?

I'ld go for this, to be a Christian

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10:9,10

You already had a disliking for the pope and you just tried to bend the interpretation of this incident to suit your prejudice.

Oh, I dislike the catholic church. have done for some time.
My interperetation is stated clearly.
For the records, I don't go and pray to statues of mary either. Nor any other statue.

Sprint, your interpretation was not stated clearly, otherwise you would not tell me to keep guessing what it meant.

freediver - my thoughts on the popes actions :
"Thought Christians weren't meant to bow before any other gods.

"You are the salt of the earth.
But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "
Matthew 5:13 "

"keep guessing" referred to what it meant to be a chistian, my thought was :
"I'ld go for this, to be a Christian

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Hi skeptic,
One of my friends is a catholic, here is her comments to your query :

"I don't really agree with that. Not sure what that is all about.
What happened to being proud to be a Christian? The Lord died for us. Let us praise that instead of unseen idols. Let us worship the God who loves us through his son Jesus Christ. Anything else is hypocrisy. "

Good that she makes up her own decision on thatever anyone else does.

Isn't pride considered a sin?
