White supremacist Jack van Tongeren's right hand man was labelled "un-Australian" as he was jailed for more than two years for plotting to bomb four Chinese restaurants in Perth as a publicity stunt.

John Van Blitterswyk, 56, was sentenced in the West Australian District Court for conspiring with three other men, including van Tongeren, to bomb the restaurants in 2004.

The court was told the neo-Nazi Australian Nationalist Movement (ANM) members concocted the plot as a stunt to coincide with the release of van Tongeren's book, The ANM Story.

They were arrested after some ANM members were charged over racist graffiti in Perth, with two rolling over and giving evidence about the plot.

"It is un-Australian," Judge O'Sullivan said.

"No-one in this country should be at risk of attack because of their ethnic background."

Think him and his mates are from south africa ? he wanted to abolish taxes, export ALL the immigrants and make Alice Springs the capital of auss ! 2 years was light. Should have been done up for much more than that.

Gavin - I have no idea why Alice springs.
For my 2c worth, they are but terrorists and warrant much more than 2 years.
I don't care what colour, race or belief, if they want to deal in fear, we just cannot accept it in any way whatsoever.
Sounded to me like they were nutters. Tell that to the honest asian businesses theyhad planned to firebomb etc.

Man forgiven after mosque attack

A man who hurled two molotov cocktails at a Brisbane mosque three days after the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States is a changed man and has been forgiven by the Muslim community, a court has been told.

Adam McMurray-Jones, 38, pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court to one count of wilful damage and was sentenced to 120 hours of community service.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Hodges said McMurray-Jones drove to the mosque at Holland Park in Brisbane's south on September 14, 2001, armed with two home-made molotov cocktails.

When he hurled them at the mosque, one hit a wall and exploded, blackening the brickwork, while the other caused a small fire in the garden.

The defendant sped off in his car and witnesses put both fires out before police arrived.

Mr Warfield did not record a conviction.
