OK, we get the picture. That's what I was thinking to. Well not really, but that's what I thought the term referred to.

A Victorian school has found a novel way to stop lovesick students fawning over each other in the schoolyard: by enforcing a "two bricks" separation rule.

Brauer College, a secondary school at Warrnambool in the state's south-west, uses the rule to keep students at least 30 centimetres apart at all times.

"The rule covers both affection and aggression and is part of the school's policies to ensure that all students at all times feel safe, secure and comfortable."

So this is where Homosexuality as an alternative, was taught at schools? Huh

French Foreign Legionnaire, first day on the job, is introduced to his camel.

The instructor tells him that the camel is good for at least 200 kilometres on one tank of water, but if you brick him - you'll get 250 or more.

Recruit asks:

"What do you mean.. Brick Him?"

"Well", says the instructor...

.... "you wait until he's almost drunk his fill at the oasis, then you take two bricks, and whack them together over his balls..... he'll instantly gasp and draw in more water!"

Good idea.  At the high school my kids attended - you'd go into the school or to a sports day and all the girls would be sitting on the boys's laps or having a bit of a slap and a tickle in view of everyone.

I used to whinge to my children about it,  who seemed to think there was nothing wrong with affection in the playground - either did the teachers.

Personally I believe it's a distraction.  How can those kids concentrate on their schoolwork after a period of passion in the playground?

Shocked

I watched videos about "personal space" being taught in United States elementary schools. Children would walk around with hoops around their waists as a way of defining how much space people need.

The biggest threat to our Freeeedom?

You can Google it.

Sustainable fishing, carbon taxes and the "two-bricks" rule for horny teenagers will need to wait.

We'll discuss that once the apologists have blamed Islam, dear.

These days you'd have to use a tyre lever on them to prise them apart in the clinches.

Black or White?
Never taught in schools that there is more than one right answer.

Students who attend Single-Sex Schools are kept a world apart for the 'work', but need a Nun with a ruler to keep them from socialising together (sex).

Students who attend Co-Educational Schools are together (sex) when working, but socialise apart in their male and female groups.

...Turnbull tried (or has?) to ban the 'Co-Ed' version because he couldn't tell the difference between that and an 'affair'. Roll Eyes

Does it matter? At this age can you really stop any kid from doing this sort of thing? I think we need to stop thinking of high school as though it were university and that grades are vital to the future of our children. It is simply not true. There are other important things you learn at school - namely social skills.  A bit of slap and tickle is certainly up there on the social skills list.

When I was at high school all the intense pressure lumped on me to do well and decide my future direction at a young age simply turned me off the idea of university altogether. I refused to go and I gave up on study altogether, finishing with low to average grades where I could have had top marks easily. The pressure had the exact opposite of its intended effect on me and most of the people around me. Years later and I've come full circle now, studying engineering. My younger brother dropped out at 15, he is now 2nd level IT support in a reasonable sized Aussie company, with no university degree.

Let our kids learn the important stuff at this age for the love of god! Leave the academia to a point where they are interested in it.

By the time they reach high school they need to be interested in some form of academia or its too late...

how would they expect to get into any Uni without it?

Can you suggest what age they may get interested?

20? 25 or more?  Grin
