Just out of curiousity, does anyone else think the moon landing has been blown out of proportion when it comes to 'landmark' events of the 20th century?
For example, the first human to be launched into space, a
Russian
, 'Yuri Gagarin,' has been long forgotten, whereas, the first man on the moon has been forever remembered.
To me, the first man in space is just as good, if not BIGGER, than the moon landing.
I think that the moon landing was merely 'prettier' on film and the Americans managed to 'advertise' it much better. Hence making it a bigger event in history.
