Has Peter Garrett grown up? (Read 3572 times)

Feb 23^rd, 2007 at 4:02am I read a column in a paper the other day from Andrew Bolt that Peter Garrett had 'finally grown up' amid 'waves of protest' from greenies, claimng he had betrayed them for supporting Us military bases in Australia. 'Grown up.' Does anyone else think he did it for his own political gain? Ie. Be taken seriously as a politician?

Garret is a hangover from the short period where Labor thought they could win by hiring people like him and Cheryl Kernot.
Unfortunately both of them were big frogs in a small pond.
Garret was a star when he could pull lots of environmentalists into his anti nuclear party but eventually he had to disband it because people weren't voting the way he wanted.
Kernot made an idiot out of herself because of the way she deserted the Democrats and the fling she had with Gareth Evans.
