Hello, I was told by someone to stop by this forum Smiley

My name is Niko, I have always had a fascination with Australia, but I do not live there currently, so thought to find a forum where I could help embark on ideas that will help me understand my future Cheesy

But I will say some things so you can get too know me a bit!

As I said my name is Niko, I am 17, and currently live in Florida in USA.

I plan to convert to Islam when I turn 18 because I love what I have been taught and shown and what I have read about it and learned about it,

and I love journalism and plan to travel after university too fill my ambition.

Cheesy

Firstly, welcome to OZ & the OZ Politics forum!

Second, let me state my biases -
1) I am a convert to Atheism!
2) I am NOT a “believer”, in Politicians, from the Right, Left or Centre of politics, although a “select few” may get my nod, from time to time!

That said, good luck with your conversion to Islam.

That said, I would firmly contend that Religion, ANY RELIGION, should not, must not, be allowed to “mix” with Politics.

Certainly, NO RELIGION, should be allowed to use physical/mental force, rape, injuring &/or Killing people, either directly or under the guise of any Political Party, in order to gain any Political &/or Religious advantage/change.

Should ANY RELIGION OR POLITICAL PARTY, attempt such measures, as the above, then they should be ostracised Publicly & held accountable, by all concerned parties!

I personally disagree, but that is just me.

I feel Atheism should be banned due to people who follow it are kafir's and can not fit in.

For my society at least. Unity is more important too me then civil rights.

Seasoned greetings!

It's been quite a while since I ventured onto these boards.

I see that there are a few familiar IDs, many new ones.

Alas, everything changes but stays the same...

Lamenting the shift in the Australian psyche, away from the egalitarian ideal of the fair-go - and the rise of short-sighted pollies, who worship the 'Growth Fairy' and seek to divide and conquer!

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

I don't think you're too bad for a rightie. Whilst your arguments can sometimes be misguided, you make them. Thats a step up on most righties here. Wink

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. I found this place after searching for a platform that would allow
me to rant and rave without badgering my poor friends on Facebook.

I feel that the current political climate has strayed very far from neutral and so I'm looking forward to
engaging in discussions where people aren't afraid to tell it like it is!

I'm a strong believer in giving everyone a voice, and letting their opinions stand for themselves.
If there are any tips you can give me as a newbie it would also be appreciated.

Thanks for reading Cheesy

Hiya Binary ... welcome.

My best advice is to develop a thick skin and just let your own truth be your guide.
