Putin is stupid. He took all his training, logistics etc soldiers and put them in the front line. Now these older, out of condition rear area troops are gone who will train and supply these untrained, raw conscripts?

Because a soldier is not in the front line doesn’t mean he is useless. Modern warfare demands huge logistics support: new weapons to replace those lost/damaged in the actual fighting, ammunition, spare parts, maintenance items, food, water, medicines etc for the troops.

So using up these rear echelon troops made no sense and now with the mobilisation untrained raw conscripts are being slaughtered and untold numbers are wisely surrendering to Ukrainian troops.
