A rare event that took place 30 kilometres above the South Pole last week is expected to impact upon Australia's rainfall outlook.

Does anyone have any more information about this climactic event?

Makes me think of a David Attenborough episode on Antarctica and how its also effects the major currents of the Oceans with a change of Temperature.

Very interesting.

This planet is f*ucked, regardless if it was natural or man-made. Well, 'humanity' is.  ;)
