So...what say ye about the security team both in failing to prevent it and what they then did after the event?

they should be shot for knocking down that old woman.

Typical though, wait until it's to late and then over react.

Funny how when it was done to Anning, the kid was a hero.

But now this kid is near an axe murderer.

The difference?

One dared to question Islam.
The other, didn't.

Strange world out there.

I see the last PM and his wife out for walks all the time with no security. Even when he was PM they only had 2 or 3 visible security (they probably had a few at distance) but how good is that.

Egging may seem harmless but I think it may embolden people with worse intentions. She could just as easily had a knife.

its the AUSTRALIAN WAY.... I dont care what creed or colour  we have a right to feel safe..

to see young ones  in particular disrespect our leaders makes me sick......and now its getting to violence....as you say it could well have been a knife  and next who knows???..this needs stopping and stopping right now... it is unacceptable.....

this wil go down as the ugly nasty election...

we should be ashamed sadly  some folks find it "good".. >:( >:( >:( >:(

I think it reflects on the stupidity of the person with the egg.

On my screen the egg definitely hit Morrison ...

the thing is the egg didn't break.

Story that did the rounds yesterday was that that the dumb bint took an already cooked hard boiled egg out of the fridge instead of a raw one.

Dumb & Dumber.

It should also be remembered that afterwards she stated that Morrison deserved that and much more.

What does "much more" entail? I hope they throw the book at her.

She doesn't sound like she regrets it like Egg Boy did.

When he was PM he always had security, but they were subtle, guys in cargo shorts/baseball caps. Just the other day he strolled past with Lucy and I'm 100% sure there was no security. That could never happen in a lot of countries.

Or a small pistol hidden in her woolly hat...... wonder what you could hide under a burqa?  Just asking...

It isn't a matter of our Great Leaders being sacrosanct - it is a matter of common decency that you restrict your opposition to words, questions, and public statements.. in a democratic land...

I did very well telling our Deputy Mayor that there was no need for her to apologise for being in that position... she was most miffed for some reason... can't see why myself..... far better than drilling her, eh?  Took the wind out of her sails....

Of course the egg hit his head cods.

Gordon, are you quite content with the way the security guards (who were not assaulted) immediately dealt with the attacker?  Violently took her down etc etc.

Says the guy that so dedicates his life to posting every negative detail he can scour off of the net about Muslims that he can't stop himself, even in the days following the Christchurch attack.

Is there a switch that wasn't turned on somewhere or something?

Would've liked to see that - it's their job - they had no way of knowing if she was armed with anything else, and perforce had to ensure she was immobilised as quickly as possible...heroes putting their bodies in between a potential omelette and the PM ....  maybe she had an egg carton bomb strapped around her... suicide egger ....an Improvised Egg Device... think what that could have done in a crowded room...   8-)

Did they call in the UXE Squad?  Unexploded Eggs Disposal ... defusing a potentially eggstremely dangerous situation...

Anyway - it's time some of these Entitled™ twerps were taken down a peg or ten....

Anning chose to criticise Islam included during a speech when he sent condolences to the victims who were Muslim. Instead of waiting a few weeks, he said insensitive comments within 24 hours.

Morrison is just a smug bastard. Smug bastards don't deserve to get assaulted. And Australia's treatment of asylum seekers is no reason to assault someone.

Anning said it was inevitable, given Muslim atrocities worldwide, that at some time someone would retaliate in kind.  Just a simple statement of fact in among condolences, and blown way out of any proportion by Victimhood Industries Inc.

Storm in a teacup - and I hold less than zero brief for Anning, but let's be honest for a change.

P.S.  your very use of the term 'insensitive' means you are discussing a feeling and not a fact.... feelings are not facts in that sense... amazing how such nonsense has become the norm under a feminist sky ..... can't argue the point so we'll argue some alleged feeling...

Emotional considerations come in to play when you factor in that most Muslims are not going on terror attacks or sympathising with the terrorists. An alleged retaliatory attack by a non-Muslim must still be put into the context of it being a terror attack. The victims have families. The victims have friends. The victims have co-workers. Plus, this gets put into the context that the attacker hit the victims when they were at their least prepared. If that is not irritating enough to piss off hundreds of millions of Muslims, I don't know what is. But, for Anning to come out and act as if the victims would not have been victims had they not migrated to New Zealand, that is something that crosses the line and does not stop. Well, yeah, that would not have been victims. But, the victims have not done anything close that deserves them being made victims of some deluded white nationalist.

I recall some Mufti saying that Australian women who dress immodestly are deserving of being raped. That pissed a lot of Australians off. But, imagine if some Muslim walked into a church one Sunday morning and starting shooting up the congregation with automatic weaponry. In this hypothetical, a Muslim politician from overseas starts making comment that whilst he is sympathetic to the victims, the victims would not have been victims had they not migrated to Australia and stole aboriginal land. Could *emotion* NOT come into consideration when dealing with insensitive comments?

Sri Lanka is undergoing problems with the non-Muslim community causing chaos against Muslims in retaliatory strikes. I doubt being politically correct comes into force there, either.

Don't know if anyone sees either egging any different. To Scotts credit he hid handle it much better.

Maybe he would be useful if they put him in charge of responding to eggs.

They should both be happy to cop an egg or dozen in preference to what they deserve.

**coughs** as for your basic premise - that any terrorist act is a terrorist act... when have I said anything different?

As for comparison with a politician from anywhere else - it is still not an unreasonable thing to say that such an event was inevitable given the current climate worldwide and the predominance of such acts by Muslims.

I'm sure there are countless Muslim politicians who will say that the Sri Lankan murders were inevitable, given the enduring conflict between  Muslims and others worldwide.

that, by no means, offers justification for the murders.

I will say, here and now, and will repeat following the next atrocity, that it was inevitable given the never-ending and ongoing problems between Muslims and everyone else, and that while ever any group, defined by its personal beliefs, carries out atrocities, it is inevitable that someone will respond in kind.

You will note (I doubt it) that I place no value judgement on any atrocity - but treat them all equally.... and say that a Muslim response and a Keffir response are equally inevitable... given the state of war between Islam and the Rest Of the World that does not embrace Islam.

As a society/nation - we can only determine the general impact and responsibility by looking at the number of such events from either side - and at this time, the predominance of murders rests with Muslims, and  thus a further series of responses is inevitable from the Keffir, and that will lead to a further series of responses.

You chasing me and me chasing you until there is nobody left standing....

Stupid as - but that's the way the first offenders play the game..... and thus must bear the impact of response.

Great post.

Also,  Islam is not welcome in the west. It is not compatible with western laws. If a Muslim says it is then he is not a Muslim,  but a fashionist. True Islam does not sit beside any other way of life,  it is.life and is written to be superior over all others.
It has been accepted in the west through never ending shaming and the belittlment  of anyone who offers protest,  but it is not welcome. There are plenty of countries still that have Islam as the leading law. The followers can go there and practice. Islam is life for its followers.

You claimed that the Anning comments were a metaphorical "storm in a teacup". What I saw was Anning furthering revenge attacks against Australians. Anning showed a lack of sensitivity towards the victims by including criticism of Islamic migration to non-Muslim majority countries as the reason why Tarrant went on a murderous spree. Anning should have been completely critical and damned Tarrant to the greatest extent. It was not a time for Anning to put forward a banner for recruiting anti-Muslim supporters.

Muslims make up the majority of perpetrators for the world's terrorist acts. That is my opinion. A Muslim politician could just as well say that the terrorist attacks would not have happened in Sri Lanka if the Sri Lankans did not go to church that Easter Sunday. That would be the equivalent of what Anning says. Australia can't afford to lose the trade with Muslim majority countries. Do you want to see Indonesia not buy our primary products in future?

However, when Morrison got egged, it was motivated over a matter of detaining illegal entrants to Australia. When the "Eggboy" hit Anning, the perp was not charged with assault. This gave that pretentious rebellious, young lady reason to try her go with attacking Morrison. The attack was unreasonable.

So it's all in the way you chose to interpret a simple statement of a simple reality?

I suppose that response was Inevitable ™ ......

Are you saying that Muslim immigration had nothing to do with it, given the number of atrocities carried out by 'Muslim immmigrants' worldwide?  Anning, for whom I hold no brief, included one sentence in the midst of a heap of sympathy etc... and the righteous leapt on it like a cat on a slow mouse...

Now  I'm house moving today... catch ya later..
