Yeah, I watched the first episode of Lucifer at a friends house about a year or so ago, and it was a pisser, smart, funny, and engaging, but she had just downloaded it from some dark web stuff I do not get, and I haven't seen her in ages, so I never got to grab a copy. But if it
is on telly now, I will definitely give it a watch.

I don't watch a lot of TV shows, but I am following Mystery Road, which has had some interesting developments. Good acting, and the NT scenery is great too. I will probably watch the next Jack Irish story when it starts soon.

Just finished Vikings season 4, waiting for season 5 and they say a S6 will also be made next year.

Not sure what to watch next, tried to find Deadwood on Netflix but they don't have it.

I kind of like adventure some fighting and a bit of sex being the cherry on the cake if you know what I mean.

I stopped watching Spartacus half way through season 2 when the actors changed and someone told me it gets better as S2 goes on, might try to find an interest in that again...?!?!

Any suggestions.....??......(Netflix)

Sanity was doing those 2 for $40 deals with all the seasons 1 to 6 for Game of Thrones. I managed to collect all of them for $96 (20% off for orders over $100). Took me 2 months to watch the entire series. Then we all did the wait for season 7 to air. After that, probably 6 months for the series to come out on dvd. But then there was another 4 months to wait until the series was eligible to be part of the 2 for $40 deals Sanity had been doing since 2016.

I still await VideoEzy to bring out an ex-rental blu ray for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Thank you for reminding me about Dexter.

Have heard Dexter is good and I got into Game of Thrones late about Episode 6- I loved it at once- but Kit Harrison disappointed not standing up to the Queen Cersi and effectively emasculating himself-and at only 5ft 9 too short- yes height does matter- the coupling with the Dragon queen was pathetic after all the build up- the whole story went to shyt in that the pacing was way off and the finale was banal- did not really leave me wanting to see the next season - they botched it well and truly

oh come on the last ep was thrown together adhoc- why the rush- why stuff up something that important - all the elements were there for a great finale so HOW did they botch that up- knowing we had to wait so long for the next season? I decided then and there if the was the best they could do I wasnt coming back to after such a long break- talk about messed up planning and production issues-? that said i guess i will take a peek at the next season - and they should give us more than one season extra as well and have heard it will come in the form of a long movie type format- ends need tying up- Cersi has to go to go- Kit Harrison has to grow another 6 inches and the white walkers what next for them- I think season 8 should be series of eps as has come before and maybe make it an extra long feature at the end

It must be a remake then Greg- it was a wonderful series a couple years ago and season 2 just finished on HBO - seriously trying to get my hands on it- now that you have pointed that out will watch that movie for sure

its not on either but I did find it just now on Putlocker ( the second season) and the first season would be there as well- I am so happy now that is my viewing sorted for the duration- and thanks for telling me about that movie- will watch it- if you watch it- enjoy- its good

Last night, I caught "Nightcrawler," an extremely well made movie about a sociopath who becomes a TV news video maker by turning up at horrific accidents. The script and acting are tight, and the camera work is really good. Its unlike the usual Hollywood thriller in that there is no good guy-bad guy dichotomy.

Just like big Arnie in Dah Derminatah .. Yul Brynner was type cast as the robot... always admired his willingness to go bald shaven (God bless his pointy little head) and he had a great, sharp voice and 'steamy' eyes for the ladies ...

It's all over the internet atm- a Handmaids Tale- I tuned into episode one season one tonight and wow- I dont think I can watch this dark and oppressive series- anyone else seen it- that said it looks very good - not sure I will go any further though-

A dystopia, nuclear war or major nuclear accident (not specified in the book) leads to the religious right killing the POTUS & members of Congress, set up religious republic of Gilead in big part of what is US now.

Patriarchy set up, religious “commanders” as they are called form the ruling council, women are forbidden to read. Problem of human reproduction. Fertile women are rounded up and given a choice—work on removing nuclear contaminated soil or agree to bear children for the commanders—it is said the wives of the commanders are sterile, it is actually the Commanders who are but you don’t say that in a patriarchy! The rule of the theocracy is maintained by rather vicious armed Guards and Eyes (spies on the populace.)

The tale follows the life of June (Offred, the pronoun “of” and the name of the commander, Fred Waterford) as she is trained by the “Aunts” for her role then her life in the Waterford household incl the sex with the Commander until she escapes and writes her Tail.

It is a warning of the power of the religious right who resent women being educated, able to live their life their way not the religious right’s way etc.

Is it dark? Well, yes, it is a DYStopia. To say the attitudes of the patriarchy are my attitudes is REALLY offensive, nothing in my posting history here and in my fine forum or in our email correspondence can lead you to say they are my attitudes. That was a rotten thing to say, cods!

At the moment I am rewatching odyssey 5. It was a scifi show that ran in the UK a long time ago and was cancelled so fast the last 6 episodes werent aired. I have the boxset which includes the 6 episodes but it still ends on a cliffhanger. Sad. Anyway its one of the bbest scifis i have seen.

Cods I had seen Season 1 and part of Season 2 when I saw the book available for under $10. Had borrowed the book from the local library before that.

It WAS vile and bitchy to say the ideals of Gilead were my ideals when you knew better than most that that was NOT true.

Those who loved the original Blade Runner really love it and it is a formula that was always going to be hard to equal in the form of a sequel- my son loved it as did a lot off ppl- so when I heard of a 2nd Blade Runner was going to be released I had that sinking feeling- it will be big budget sensationalist trash- a sad fail
I was to be proved wrong- the same lovers of the original also loved this one- a triumph it would seem-

The same old world 1980s Blade Runner feel was captured yet again which meant the new one retained the essence and feel and famiiarity which was important to my friend- he also said that Harrison Fords presence was superfluous to requirements and should not have been bought back a 2nd time-Ryan Gosling and Jared Leto also great in this
