I suspect was payback, but seems Monk and Aussie have now banned me on Monks Site from seeing the details as I am now regarded as a person non grata so farg both of them!

I no longer suffer from the stress though ...I separated.  ;)

The film focuses on the World War II experiences of Desmond Doss, an American pacifist combat medic who was a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, refusing to carry or use a firearm or weapons of any kind.

Doss became the first conscientious objector to be awarded the Medal of Honor, for service above and beyond the call of duty during the Battle of Okinawa.

I would only carry a big blade - being useful for my medical background to some degree.

Ah, yes.. but I was an Infantry Medic, and I carried not only a knife, but a 9mm Browning and an M-16.  Bad Guys choose Medics as targets... and I was never one to be caught short... though I'm a pacifist by nature... and nobody gets to my patients..... not over me.

that isnt true...yes monk has rubbed many up the wrong way.. he gets very angry and it spews out on the forum....but that all part of being human   some have a lot more control than others....I find the best way to deal with people who I dont get on with

Monk needs more than just forgiveness. Those of us who know him far longer than Setanta also know that Monk has a personality disorder.....not just a problem with alcohol.

If only we had a mental health expert on OzPol... :o

While in Construction. Got to experience a chap last year who yarned on about his tours in Afghanistan, etc. I, as a former Medical Industry (like Psych wards) employee - found his yarns a good cure for boredom while digging trenches, etc. The Trades would come up to me though and say he's all just 'lies' and even showed me a Website where the public are warned about this guy. I took it in my stride and continued to enjoy his 'stories'. He recently appeared on A Current Affair because his girlfriend at the time realised he had 'conned' her too.
He honestly 'believes' he is a War Veteran. Even though a lot of Military guys want to kick his butt for exploiting them.

Now while in the psych industry - I got to know a 'few' patients who honestly believed they were Doctors and Nurses - even 'psychologists'. It's a very fine line indeed as some of these patients are really convincing and know their stuff in a way. But they are 'not' such - they are patients. Unable to accept their situation in life - pure denial.
(I still haven't met Napoleon yet  :()

So there are such people out there. I've got Medical experience, but there is no way I over-do myself. I do 'ask the question' sometimes with little ego fear to be proven wrong. But I also say that I am 'formerly'. So it's a fading experience really.

People can appear anywhere these days and 'believe', as if they are in a movie, that they are 'acting' out their 'other life'. They are totally within such a zone and 'believe' that they are a Psychologist, etc.
I'm no Psychologist. I just have an ambidextrous mind.  :D

Shyam Acharya is accused of stealing an Indian doctor's identity before posing as a doctor in Australia
Mr Acharya worked in NSW from 2003 with only one complaint ever registered
NSW Health has defended the department's recruitment practices
Shyam Acharya is accused of stealing a doctor's name and medical qualifications while in India before moving to Australia and becoming a citizen.

To find work in Australia, he allegedly used fraudulent documents to gain registration with the Medical Council of New South Wales in 2003.

Mr Acharya worked at Manly, Hornsby, Wyong and Gosford hospitals under the name Sarang Chitale up until 2014.

As a junior doctor, he was under the supervision of other clinicians.

NSW Health says one clinical incident involving a team Mr Acharya worked in was reported.

The patient involved in the incident has been notified.

Mr Acharya's current whereabouts are unknown, but the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has confirmed it has laid charges against him for a breach of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of $30,000.
