Title: selective censorship not in Oz surely? Post by cods on Oct 13th, 2017 at 6:19am

This week, I’ve been speaking about a case in Orange, about a fatal accident where a 72-year-old lost his life. A man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, and negligent driving causing death. He applied to have his licence reinstated and the magistrate agreed. His employer, a local business, provided a statement to the court that if he did not get his licence back, he’d be unemployed. Every time I’ve mentioned the story, the Southern Cross Network has stopped my transmission not only to Orange but stations across NSW, Queensland and South Australia. The local business is a substantial advertiser with MMM in Orange. Southern Cross says it’s a legal issue. If that were the case, this newspaper and my radio program would not be able to report any matters after someone was charged until the process concludes. |

That's true, JS. FD censors himself all the time. |

Not just himself. Didn't he recently ban a whole swath of members who weren't Islamaphobes? He failed to provide an alternate reason |

Yes, that's true too. FD doesn't like it when you don't want to ban the tinted races. Sustainability, innit. |

Islamophilia is a fatal online disease and quarantine was called for.... Islamophilia can cause outbreaks of rioting and street offences, fatal bleeding and loss of head..... and is also a prime factor in the shrinking of secular organs :-X |

For once cods is making an important point. The commercial stations are well known for censoring news that is negative towards it's major sponsors and major advertisers. There was the John Laws and Alan Jones cash for comment scandal More recently there was the censorship of the Getup commercial Quote:
This sort of corporate bias and censorship is the very reason that a well funded ABC is so important |
