THE Block’s controversial couple Ronnie and Georgia Caceres have been forced to defend themselves after being accused of “stealing” the winning design of their children’s room from a professional interior design firm.

The Perth couple have now responded to the allegations, telling Woman’s Day: “It’s tall poppy syndrome. It felt like we were ganged up on!”

Ronnie and Georgia won the kids bedroom challenge last week, scoring the first 10 of this year’s series.

And in an explosive episode this week, fellow contestant Jason will accuse the couple of ripping off the design of the room after he was sent a photo of a room style by Melbourne interior design business Norsu Interiors.

A photo on the business’ Instagram shows a kid’s room they’ve recently styled — and it’s very similar to the one presented by Ronnie and Georgia Caceres on the show.

Along with the same rose gold bed, the couple also used the same wall prints, toys and blush canopy used by the business.

why wouldn't the show work? you think they come up with all those ideas all on their own?
In 15 yrs of painting the most common method of decorating was for the bored housewife to show me a picture and say 'I want that'.

What Channel is this on? What is the basic concept of the show, please?

I have watched a few "interior design" type shows on Foxtel .... they have been British though.  I wonder whether it is a similar concept ...  I really enjoyed the British series.

its on 9 nef.. but its nothing to do with posh shows like on Fox...its where 5 couples get to turn something that is falling apart into a million dollar home....in this case its five very old houses and the couples start from scratch and basically rebuild them....well they get a lot of help from tradies..

She subscribes to the interior designers website, and that photo was one they sent her BEFORE she did the room. She can cry all she wants that she didn't copy it. She's full of sh1t

I watched that episode and like all similar episodes on all these 'reality' programs, etc - its all just for ratings.
They all fight, but just when you think they are going to take it to the limit ...they all cave in and kiss and make-up.

They all accuse and then renege. They all start and then back down. It's all huff and no puff.

I wasn't surprised by the outcome.
Just another scam for ratings ...because no-one really bothers unless there is something scandalous, fight, etc going on.

Pretty sad when the Contestants have 'always' just COPIED every other interior design already out there.  ::)

cods dear cods yeah we get them but we just cannot see them- thank god for Fox at one stage and now I just stream everything- reception is so bad we dont see any free to air-  as for power we live in the  Jurassic period here- more batterys as back up and solar generator the only way to go when we are blacked at for long periods- its insane you are right !

if you can get Fox why not free to air...do you have a roof aerial?.....I know you need a dish for Fox....

no cods but may as well have lived in one- I know the Fox signal came via sattellite- that is as far as I know- the signal for com TV was too weak to reach us this far out and give a reliable service but ABC seemed consistent-

well there must be a reason   anyone would think you lived on the moon..if you can  get ABC then the others should be there....you probably need an outside aerial.one of those things on a pole...theres a whole heap of channels now on free to air....not just the 3 amigoes..

Yes I have the outside aerial but still a very bad signal- but I can get most anything I want on my laptop and my phone now so its all good- I dont use fox anymore just my computer- you live in a big regional area you dont habe to worry about this stuff lucky you

then they put the satellites up and bingo no more adjusting the bunny ears...

Is it worth getting a satellite dish and a VAST set top box?    I have been able to get reception just about all over Australia

Vast is a free to air government satellite service that uses the OPTUS satellite service to transmit.   You do need to buy the set top box (look on ebay around  450) and you do need to subscribe to VAST and have a reason for doing so.  You would have no problem.    You get most main free to air stations in high quality.    You would need a satellite dish though, but it is easy to set up as FOXTEL use the same satellite.     You can also buy a portable satellite dish that you could set up yourself - after a few times, it is dead easy.    Just google VAST and there is a lot of info

I have caught up with it again....and at last scotty is getting down to the nitty gritty...I feel for Sarah and Jason  but really have you ever seen a less happy less motivated couple in all your life....they both look as depressed as hell...how did they pass the test for the show...scotty said 10.000 people applied.....and yet they end up with this couple.... ::) ::)

Ronnie and Georgia are the couple I dislike the most.. I find them really insincere and the cuddling is totally fake...I dont think she likes him at all   they have seen this as an opportunity and they will be the best no matter what....both up themselves....dont like them..

I do love wombat   he has a big heart  I hope they do well..

I know the one you mean lol- it pretty bad but i stil watch it- i watch the Bachelor as well - so much junky tv- its the voyeur in all us i think- i am going to try to get my commercial channels working-i miss them- :'( how tragic is that

I seem to prefer the aussie versions as well to the o/seas ones... maybe I am getting brainwashed  ;D ;D I dont watch survivor  another one I will confess to watching  is that one where for brides try to win a freebee honeymoon by having the best or the worst weddings possible.... it is so crappy it hypnotises me... ;D I know the one you mean lol- it pretty bad but i stil watch it- i watch the Bachelor as well - so much junky tv- its the voyeur in all us i think- i am going to try to get my commercial channels working-i miss them- :'( how tragic is that

I have been turned off the Bachelor this time..watched it till a couple of weeks ago..
I decided I didnt like any of the females on the show....its the same with the block  I dont like the females  they all seem so hard and bitchy....and most dominate the men...they irritate me ...Im very hard to please I think

I guess once I get a few eps under my belt I might get to know the personalities better- but for me I must admit it is more the design decorating aspect atm -as I love that stuff- and last night episode gave me a little glimpse and now I want more- and can you keep me updated as to what is on commercial free to air and I will see if I can find it online?  I need to read some back story on the current block to bring me up to date quickly-

I watched The Bachelor for the first time this series.  Probably wouldn't bother in future, though I did find it kind of addictive in a cringeworthy way.

Hi Alinta- yes they are all mostly cringeworthy but as you say kind of addictive- Big Brother is such a stupid show but I had to watch it every day- lol- who knows why ?

there is design shows on all over free to air agnes   ABC has one   I dont watch them  as I have no intentions of doing anything here.....those days are over 

theres also Better Homes and Gardens on Friday night. and House Rules on channel 7 will be back soon   thats a good one....

My place is pretty much how I like it cods- I have always been interested in design mostly interior so its mostly just for fun - when I was a kid I wanted to go into design- just an interest because I love it- I love natural textures and farics and candles  - better homes is ok and gardens but ABC used to have a couple of good ones-yes I must look around online because I can steam that one directly

so Ron and Georgia win again....really?..

I know its hard to tell froma TV  camera but their house looks DARK  it looks to me to be oppressive....and as for smug ronnie   he needs a right serve....

didnt like what happened last night Jason is two faced.......first he says they didnt deserve their win....

then he pretends shock when they get points taken off them...

if ever two couple say PHONY to me it Jason and Sarah...for a couple who couldnt finish one room in a week   to suddenly finish two rooms in a week plus have a win.......doesnt sit right with me at all..

and Ronnie and Georgia never seem to have money problems yet have all the luxury....ie tradies... ::) ::)

I thought it was weird   the contestants used the kitchen to cook in    one even almost set fire to the oven.....
how can this be a good idea?...all that equipment is now used?..... >:(

The whole show is not what I expected and I've given up watching-  guess I realised my only interest lay in the room reveals and the renovation process itself.  Are the room reveals always on the Sunday show?????

yes fully finished...that is....it is losing its appeal   because it looks so phony to me.....Jason and Sarah    do absolutely nothing......he even said   it was monotonous ????????.... really!  if they walk away with hundreds of thousands   I will go on the show myself.....lol...I will watch to the end... just to watch them go down... :D :D :D.. good job they have the boys on at least they make mistakes  and try to fix them....I hope they do well.

they advertise usually during the show....for the next group.....you just apply   last time they had 10.000 apply.... no idea how they sort them out.. its not like the Masterchef..test..lol

well this week is going to be very interesting....Georgia will never get over it...she reminds me of some folks on here   who have very short memories.. ;D ;D..

the weather has warmed up here...hope its not a sign of things to come  they were giving action plan tips on TV today in case of bush fires...we havent had a lot of rain...so dont know what to expect..
