Actually, there is very little music I cannot stand, unless its badly executed. But there are a few things that grate on me, sorry if this offends your sensibilities:

And while we are on the subject, whats with all these cutaway model dreadnoughts? They never play anything out of first position.

Amplified Drum kits. The original idea with amplification was to make soft instrument audible over loud ones, ultimately achieving a balance. That wasn't good enough for some drummers, they wanted their dominance back, but those bloody Electric Neanderthals are going to pay for it when they become prematurely deaf. They are not really musicians anyway.

My dreadnoughts are all cutaways, although I must admit that I rarely go past the 9th fret.

I suppose they became popular during that 'Unplugged" period.

Tommy's one of the best acoustic players out there, and I've only seen him use a cutaway 2 or 3 times.

"Hate" is a strong word.

Music that annoys me, though, includes John Lennon, Meatloaf, Nickelback, Matchbox 20, Taylor Swift (and all the other teenage girl pop stuff), and most reggae.

Rap can be dull as ditch water, but then there is Lucas With The Lid Off. ( Catch the vibe.) So I have to qualify my dislike.

Knopfler is such a fine musician and song writer that Twisting by the Pool seems way out of character.

That vamp at the beginning of Laughs and Jokes etc, seems to be the 5-4 riff from Dave Brubeck's Take Five.

I Particularly like MK's song The Mason Dixon Line, its getting on for a folk song.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters etc are great songs. Later on he puts out I Wanna Kiss The Bride. That song can kiss my ass. Another one is Bily Joel. He went from Pressure , The Stranger etc to bloody Uptown Girl. What's the go? >:( >:(

But look at Neil Young. His music never got old. I can understand having nothing to say but if you can play like Elton John and Billy Joel then why let the music suffer? Most of the young current musicians  can't play but at  least it's interesting.

I spent a lot of time in the Caribbean in the 1970s, most of the bands I heard were rubbish, same two chords for half an hour. However, Toots and the Maytals Reggae Got Soul, Sweet and Dandy and Funky Kingston remain favourites.

I hate almost all pop music. These are all boyz-bands like One Direction, all kinds of Justin Biebers and Taylor Swifts. I just can not stand this nightmare!
