A swastika icon next to "One Nation" in Political Parties? Who put that there? Remove it, thank you very much

It must have been a typo, surely?

Does anyone have a better alternative?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

The swastika (also known as the Hakenkreuz, gammadion cross, cross cramponnée, fylfot, or tetraskelion) (as a character: 卐 ) is an ancient religious symbol that generally takes the form of an equilateral cross, with its four legs bent at 90 degrees.[1][2] It is considered to be a sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism and dates back to before the 2nd century BCE.[3] It continues to be commonly used as a religious symbol in Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Western literature's older term for the symbol, gammadion cross, derives mainly from its appearance, which is identical to four Greek gamma letters affixed to each other.[4] The name swastika comes from the Sanskrit word svastika (Devanāgarī: स्वस्तिक), meaning "lucky or auspicious object."[4]

It has been used as a decorative element in various cultures since at least the Neolithic. It is known most widely as an important symbol, long used in Indian religions, denoting "auspiciousness."

Just remove it please freediver. It's inappropriate because of it's modern day connotations which in no way apply to One Nation. You're doing a disservice to the site. Please change the icon to something representative of Australia, not Nazi Germany

The Australian Flag or a head and shoulders portrait of Pauline Hanson will suffice

Is there anything else you would like to change while I am at it?

I have changed the pic. Hit ctrl-F5 to refresh your cache if ti does not show.

How about a drunk bogan in stubbies and thongs with a VB in one hand and a cigarette in the other?

Keep going freediver, don't be a smart ass, something decent representing Australia this time

Because Pauline represents Australia?

How about a drunk bogan in stubbies and thongs with a VB in one hand and a cigarette in the other, draped in an Australian flag and beating up an immigrant?

Given your prejudice freediver, a bloke in stubbies holding a beer is all we're gunna get, but it would be less abusive than a KKK cross symbol which has nothing to do with One Nation

A better idea would be to ask supporters of each political party to post suggestions for their respective party's symbols/avatars, then use the popular suggestion for each party. But that'd be no fun for you, would it?

A good representative emblem for the far right party.

Speaking for myself and probably many other ON supporters, I've been trying to wake people up to the mass slaughter of Wombats on regional roads and back roads. The Greens have failed on this issue, so just shut up, ON will work on fixing it

Hiding behind a red herring, doesn't remove the fact, Zero Nation are modern day Nazis.

Lets hope the few hundred thousand supporters realise what they are supporting a.s.a.p.

Whilst I have "little to no time", for most Politicians, including Pauline Hanson, I see little reason to no reason, for having pictures of Political Party's representing "Nazis Flags OR Abbott made in a Hitler format"!!!

It really is time you reassessed the wisdom of where you are directing your sympathies.

Australia's One Nation supporters as opposed to Australia's Islam supporters are WAY more gay-friendly, multiculture-friendly, Western social values friendly, USA-friendly, and undivided in their loyalty to Australia.

And in terms of describing groups of people as Nazi-sympathisers .. the Muslims have it WAY over the Hanson mob. There would be 1000:1 Muslims as against One Nation supporters who would like to see the Jews of Israel go up in smoke just as they did at Auschwitz.

It's possibly time you stopped chanting slogans and began to think for yourself.

Not an us or them choice.
Never was, never will be.

This continual race to the bottom on the far right, my money is on zero nation suggesting locking up Australian Muslims in concentration camps first.

The Swastika is more fitting, yet the white sheet Klux Klux Klanner gave me a giggle.

It is a snow capped peak.

That's funny.. FD  ..  Still getting the (symbol) ... looking forward to a snow capped peak. :)

Nevertheless, it is an ancient symbol.. even the Celts used it....  and it isn't necessarily a bad thing to be reminded of what it stands for today.

By that I don't necessarily mean OneNation... but........ :(

The symbol doesn't offend me. How it is used is not it's fault.

Look at the intention, metaphor, of the ones using it rather than the symbol it's self and cast your wrath that way.

couldn't agree more... BUT.... the user may well have a valid issue to make. Not talking skinheads in boots with tatts either.

Sometimes shtstirring is important. :)

I see it now. You thought the black dots were eye holes. They are in fact the bodies of dead black people that Pauline stepped over on her way to the top of the metaphorical mountain. This whole symbology thing can be fraught with danger, especially when you only have 33 pixels to work with. How does the drunk Pauline draped in an Australian flag look at that size?
