A neighbour filmed and shouted encouragement as a group of women with alleged gang links attacked Melbourne homeowners in their front yard before smashing their windows and damaging their car.
Footage of the disturbing attack was posted online on Saturday under the title "Welcome to Melbourne...Sudanese Girls Gone Wild!!!"

The video begins with two groups, mainly consisting of women, arguing in the front yard when the situation suddenly becomes violent.
"Get em! Get em! Get em!" a child appears to yell as at least one woman armed with a stick starts swinging the weapon wildly.
She is soon disarmed by a man who swings the stick as he comes under attack from a number of women on all sides.
One of the neighbours yells "Get her" and "why don't you jump in" as at least two fights unfold.
The homeowners eventually get back inside their house and shut the door but with the neighbours urging them on the women use their weapons to smash a number of windows.

As they leave a child tells them to smash the car windows and at least one woman lays into the vehicle with a broom, drawing cheers from the onlookers.
The person who posted the video online linked the attack to the Melbourne gang Apex, which has reportedly has links to the Aces gang that is accused of recruiting girls as young as 12.
Police fear the 'Aces' gang's criminal activity is escalating with random attacks at nightspots becoming increasingly more violent.
The 'Aces' gang is believed to operate in the Dandenong area, which is where the Apex gang formed, with other all-female gangs operating in Sunshine and Laverton.
Several youth workers said there had been an increase in gangs consisting of girls, many of whom were from a disadvantaged background and craved a sense of belonging.

Les Twentyman, a youth outreach worker and founder of the 20th Man Fund, told the Herald Sun the at-risk girls were "locked out of education, they're locked out their families and they're locked out of employment".

Yeah, crime stats. I'll tell you why certain African groups are becoming a big issue in Australia. They are from war ridden violent tribal countries and that violent black American gang cultures fits in with what they believe. Another reason is socio economics. They have low IQs and end up floundering in modern societies so many end down the bottom . Down the bottom is where many bad anti social behaviours are born.

SUDANESE and Somali-born Victorians are about five times more likely to commit crimes than the wider community, a trend that must be addressed to prevent Cronulla-style social unrest, police warn.

The most common crimes committed by Somali and Sudanese-born Victorians are assault and robbery, illustrating the trend towards increasingly violent robberies by disaffected African youths.
''We've got to fix this now and make sure it doesn't continue, so the kids who are now 10 years old aren't in this offender bracket in five years' time. So we don't get the Cronullas happening,'' Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Tim Cartwright said.

''[At Cronulla] you had a big chunk of the community disengaged and coming to a point where you have large-scale civil unrest. That's abhorrent to us, to think we would have that.

''You look at the UK riots and you think, we don't ever want to go there, we don't ever want to see segments of our community saying they just don't care what the rest of the community does, they don't care for us, they have no engagement, don't recognise the legal system, don't recognise education.

''In the longer term the challenge for us is to fix that,'' he said.

The police statistics show the rate of offending among the Sudanese community is 7109.1 per 100,000, while for Somali people it is 6141.8 per 100,000. The figure for the wider community is 1301.0 per 100,000.

It is important to note that the overall proportion of crimes statewide committed by the Sudanese and Somali communities is only 0.92 per cent and 0.35 per cent respectively, and that people arrested and charged may falsely identify themselves as being from those communities.

For both Sudanese and Somalis, assault offences are the most common type, constituting 29.5 per cent and 24.3 per cent of all offences respectively.

''Property is one of the issues, so they're stealing iPhones or money or things of value,'' Mr Cartwright said.

''But there's also a concerning trend of violence, violence that's not needed. So once they've got the property the violence continues. Maybe there's a thrill in it, maybe a bit of revenge, but it's coming out of a lot of groups, not just the Africans.''

Chief Commissioner Ken Lay and other senior police recently met members of the African community to discuss the crime statistics and ways to tackle the issue. One person present at the meeting, Abeselom Nega, said he shared some of Mr Cartwright's fears, and that the statistics presented by the police were ''confronting''.

He said the violent offending was a serious concern to the African community, but that it was important to note the positive contribution many Africans made to the wider community.

''I don't have the experience that the Deputy Commissioner has, but prolonged disengagement and disenfranchisement would no doubt lead to social unrest,'' said Mr Nega, who heads iEmpower, an early intervention and diversionary youth service.

''Tackling crime on a daily basis is a reactive response, and the police would have to do that. But I think it is important to have a proactive strategy that addresses the root cause of disengagement.

''Far too many young people are out of school, not in training or employment, and this needs an immediate response from the government and the whole community,'' he said.

''But it is important to recognise that there are many young people making positive contributions to society, and that they are marginalised by the actions of those people who are responsible for the increase in crime.''

Mr Cartwright said it was crucial to recognise that police could not solve the problem simply by locking people up, and that the root causes of high crime rates needed to be tackled.

''The concern when you see these sorts of numbers is that, if you don't do anything about it, it will continue. We lock up all these offenders and there's another, growing tranche behind them who have the same issues,'' he said.

You are sorely mistaken. I'll grant you that they did make some stone dwellings but they moved around in even abundant places Mothra. You are mixing your indigenous people up. Food never stays in one place in Australia. Animals MOVE around Mothra. Plants get eaten so they move to another area with a fresh batch of yams etc. Understand.

So they got shells from middens (aboriginal rubbish tips), carbon dated them and worked out that they were in continual residence in certain areas???? The only problem is that carbon dating can only pinpoint a date range of several years. Continual residence would be impossible to determine because of this fact. As far as keeping eels alive for a period of time in  pools of water. That's crap. Eels can move over land and can escape pools of water. See, I did read it Mothra.

The clearings were maintained to allow for maximum light, and to minimise dripping water and dropping branches. In 1875, 11 townships of well-thatched gunyahs, big enough to hold six people, were observed in four miles of scrub near Herberton (Mulligan 1876). In 1877, outside Cairns, there was a camp of about 300 people. Circular or oval dome shelters were clad and thatched from palm leaves - fan palms, cycad palms and wild banana - as well as grass, melaleuca bark or a combination of these. A large-span dome house could be constructed for several family groups. Otherwise, an interconnected cluster connected by passages could be built. Small shelters might also serve as a windbreak or a 'dyadu' might serve as a shade shelter (Yidiny language group, near Cairns, Dixon 1977). Tasmanian dome constructions Dome shelters were also in western Tasmania, where there are pockets of relatively high rainfall caused by local mountains. These dome constructions were warm and weatherproof, occupied for long periods, and located near good fishing areas, fresh water and edible figs. Some of these were lined with paperbark and decorated with feathers. Domes ranged up to 3.6 m in diameter and 2.4 m high with a vertical semi-ellipse as an entrance. Often there was artwork on the inside of walls showing geometric forms, humans, animals and birds. Spinifex shelters Winter shelter covered in spinifex grass used throughout inland Australia. In the Western Desert region, a distinctive architecture of spinifex or hummock grass as cladding over domed frames dominated. Windbreaks were constructed of piled-up boughs of Acacia or Cassia species with gaps filled in with grass. These were laid out as a circular arc, a crescent or linear form with the wall always to windward. Fully enclosed shelters were built of selected limbs and clad with spinifex and other types of foliage. These shelters usually had no regard to wind or rain-proofing, as the lower part was semi-open and allowed the breeze to flow through. Dome-shaped semi-enclosed wiltjas, such as in the Warburton Ranges, were made of upright mulga boughs inserted into holes, with the brushy ends upwards. They were then given an outer covering of tussock grass. The maximum internal height of these was about 1.7 metres. Stone houses Aboriginal stone architecture is part of a range of Indigenous stone engineering structures that were built. These include stone-walled fish traps in the sea and rivers, weirs, canals, ovens and ceremonial stone layouts on the ground. Naturally-occurring stone caves and rock overhangs were also used for shelter, although these were usually used for other activities than camping. Stone houses were seen in the Australian Alps and flat slab slate-type stone houses were described in the north-east of South Australia, built as a dome on heavy limbs with heavy clay to fill the gaps (Basedow 1925, p. 103). In the Warringah area, north of Port Jackson, Sydney, stone shelters were built in an elongated egg shape with clay infill to keep out groundwater to prevent flooding. A hole was made in the roof to let smoke out and an animal hide was used to keep out the rain. They were lined with fern, grasses and paperbark. Possum skin rugs were also used. The same shelter would be used by the same family for many years (Foley 2001, pp. 186-7). Western Victorian lava-stone structures The abundance of basalt stones and rocks around Lake Condah allowed the Gunditjmara people to develop complex stone structures. These structures included not only houses but also eel traps based on a complex system of creeks, ponds, weirs, traps and gates. Local groups owned different estates including eel traps and other structures like a village, which were passed on to descendants. This area was included on the National Heritage List in 2005 as part of the Budj Bim National Heritage Landscape. It contains the only remaining permanent houses built by an Indigenous community in Australia. Stone structures like those at lake Condah have also been found across south-western Victoria...

Yes nincompoop. An annual base is a camp you come back to after being away for a while. Think of mountain climbing. In times of bad weather of course they would stay in a group of dwellings for a while. Otherwise they moved around following food. Because they were HUNTER GATHERERS!!!!
