Title: Albo, Why The Data Centres ?
Post by Hung Uncut Black Muslim Jew on Oct 19th, 2026 at 10:48am
Number of Data Centres per country.

USA 5427
China 449
Australia 314

https://www.statista.com/chart/24149/data-centers-per-country/

Why does the Albanese mob want more data centres than China. Could it be so we suffer a bigger economic crash when over supply is realised ?

Exactly how much of an environmental menace is AI? Here’s what we know

I don't think the government is the one building them.

Are those data centres all the same size? It could be that the number of centres is dictated by geography, with actual usage intensity dictating size.

If approved, one of the world's biggest data centres will be built in western Sydney. At one gigawatt, it is expected to be Australia's largest single energy user.

And in Marsden Park, also in western Sydney, the biggest data centre in the Southern Hemisphere is already under construction only 100m away from a local community.

...

Without significant new renewable generation and storage, data centres could push power prices 26% higher in New South Wales (NSW) by 2035, according to the Climate Council, an independent non-profit that provides expert advice.

...

Sydney already needs to increase its drinking water supply over the next five to 10 years in order to provide for its growing population, according to Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA).

But if that water is used for data centres, households are likely to pay the price for sourcing water from elsewhere, such as through desalination, which costs more than traditional water sources.

Sydney Water, Australia's largest water utility, says data centres could use up to 25% of Sydney's drinking water by 2035.

The Climate Council is not independent, it is an activist group. An activist group by definition cannot be independent, it can only show one side of any argument. It may be independently funded, which is different. ::).

So Sydeney needs more water, Why can't the ter that you say will be used by data centers, be re-used after? Why not use another cooling method, thay are available? ::)

Oh, only could, I guess there are other options. ;)

Are you concerned about the data escaping and molesting little kids?

Data centre's continuous tonal hum travels long distances, leading to significant health impacts including sleep disruption, migraines, nausea, and anxiety. The unchanging, low-frequency nature of the sound makes it highly perceptible and distressing to humans, especially at night when background noise is low.

Sleep disruption and chronic stress for all.

On-site diesel generators and fossil-fuel-based power generation release nitrogen oxides, fine particulate matter (PM2.5), and volatile organic compounds, which are linked to respiratory diseases, asthma exacerbation, and increased cancer risk.

Data centres emit significant waste heat, potentially contributing to local "heat island" effects that exacerbate heat-related illnesses during extreme weather events.

Cooling systems consume millions of litres of water daily, straining local supplies during droughts, while potential leaks of coolants like ethylene glycol or PFAS pose soil and water contamination risks.

Major quality of life reduction suggest data centres should be located well away from populated areas

Yes .....

This site probably runs in a data centre.

freediver,

But........if the 'Data Centre' boom, all turns to poo.....'WHERE DOES THE BUCK STOP ???'

1/   Why is there so little detail being revealed.....about how the supply of power to these Data Centres will be achieved ?
[apparently, Data Centres need to be supplied with HUGE amounts of reliable power.]

And will the owners of the Data Centres....pay for the full cost of the power that
they require,
to run them ?

Or will these costs.....end up being.....just be another public teat for another 'hungry mouth' to suck on ?

2/    Same question.....regards issues and resources that    need to be AVAILABLE    for cooling these Data Centres ?

Why are we not seeing any    specific details    being spelled out [regarding WHO is responsible for the FULL costs related to setting up and running these Data Centres] ?

Why can't 'someone' just spell out ALL of the details about
WHO IT IS, that is going to be responsible for all of the costs,
associated with setting up and running these 'Data Centres' ?

Are they going to be a REAL asset ?

Or a REAL liability ?

It seems fairly straightforward to me. You build it. Just like you build the data centres. They have huge backup lithium batteries and generators.

They are not subsidised by the government. The government is not building the data centres or the electricity generation.

What if they wanted to power it with nuclear energy? Would that be OK?

I am pretty sure it is illegal.

For now, let's pretend that the legislation gets revoked.

Albo already mooted that the eight million cubic miles of machinery that could never be turned off, data centres that could be used for ANY purpose, Morbius... could be powered by the data centres bringing their own modular nuclear power stations with them.

Bugger the power prices and outrageous water demands.
Or the unproven business models let alone the complete failure of a local Ai data centre on the local stock exchange?
It's shiny and new and it's taxpayers money so Albo is in boots and all.

Don't mention Albo and nsw Himms pivot to supporting mine workers and coal.
